As much as I try, I know I don't get all of the nutrients I should from my diet. I take a multivitamin to make up for those days where the closest thing I ate to fresh fruit was the smoothie I made. I've found that since taking it, I do feel better and have more energy. Going to the gym regularly is also helping. I just do not want to be in the same situation as the other women in my family - overweight, heart disease, bad knees, etc.

I think it depends on your diet. If you eat a healthy, diverse diet and make most of your meals from scratch, then that beats supplements. But if you're a picky eater then I guess you should consider vitamins.
I take some vitamin D during the dark winter months, due to the lack of daylight where I live, but that's it. I'm rarely sick.
