That's a gorgeous quirky- it looks like it cost a fortune to make ( let alone the many hours you spend making it!) The fabric bill was $165 (online via Fabric.com) and I already had the batting on hand. Then you need to factor in the cat factor though. My kitty ate a piece of thread I left lying around while working on this quilt. $2600 in vet bills, including surgery, and we had to put her down. Lost kitty = priceless. Part of me is tempted to keep the quilt because I like how it turned out, but I don't want the reminder of the lost kitty in my house. So off it goes to my nephew as planned.

Sorry about my typo! I must admit the loss of my pet would make the quilt seem unbearably expensive like you I wouldn't want the reminder, as lovely as the quilt is.

Beautiful! My Dr. Who fan would be all over that quilt. I really love the pattern, was it hard to piece together?
Thanks for sharing!

@tallgirl that is one awesome quilt. Love the design and fabrics. My Gram quilted and I treasure mine. She was a no sewing machine quilter-craziness! My DD has made quilts that are awesome, too. Her high school is the only one in area (maybe state) that has a free long arm quilter. That almost got me into it. That would be so fun. But I'd have to go back to high school!

I love the finished product, both the quilt pattern, the colors, and the fabric patterns!! It's so cheery! and I'm glad you had good luck with removing the fabric bleed.
