I wish there were more recipes that left mustard out. I can't describe how much I detest mustard. I saw a recipe somewhere that had avocado in them. I need to find that again!

Home made mayo, english mustard powder and cracked black pepper. Sometimes I might put a dash of paprika on top for colour.

I love deviled eggs and I'm a traditionalist also in making them, but I do like to add things once in a while...I've added a splash of jalapeno juice or crumbled bacon. My husband and son aren't fond of hard boiled eggs so I they are lost on them, but my other family and friends like them. Typing that out makes me want to make deviled eggs just for ME.

I use miracle whip, a little bit of mustard or mustard powder, and pickles. I take a couple sweet dill pickles, run them through my food processor and mix it into the mixture, juice and all and add a couple drops of the juice from the jar as well. I've also added crumbled bacon or topped them with a black olive slice. DH's family went nuts over the deviled eggs I made once, saying they've never had them that sweet and creamy before. Apparently it never occurred to anyone to use pickles and pickle juice. I almost always sprinkle paprika on them.

That sounds really good! I will have to try the jalapeno juice!

Mayo small amount of any type of mustard sweet pickles that are chopped in mini chopper so they are small bits splash of sweet pickle juice salt and pepper paprika on top
Sometimes I will add fresh dill or parsley if I'm not too lazy.
**I *never* use any type of relish because of a bite with a nice nasty stem. Disgusting.
My niece makes hers with just mayo and bacon bits (sometimes fake and sometimes real). People devour them.
