Did anyone else hear about this? I don't understand wearing pants that are so tight they cut off your circulation, how could that possibly be comfortable? Skinny Jeans

My son told me about this last month and all I could do was shake my head. Who the heck would not realize that their pants are too damn tight AND why would you decide to clean house wearing them. Couldn't have been comfortable and she doesn't couldn't have been comfortable afterwards either. D-U-M-B.

2nd time in a week I have heard that diagnosis-Rhabdomyolysis. 16 year old in my area ( WA state) walked miles after a plane crash. The combonation of the distance walked, lack of food and water caused her condition.

I have a feeling those weren't just skinny jeans, those were way to tight you and need to wear a larger size or two skinny jeans.

I had gym class with a girl that brought pliers to school to pull on her jeans after class. Now I have to read the article and find out if this was her.

I suspect that it was a combination of tight clothing and her positioning - sitting on her knees while cleaning perhaps... Probably didn't feel tight but was just enough for a long enough period of time...

I had a friend who used a wire hanger to do that. She had serious camel toe and complained all the time about how much her crotch hurt. But she was sure it was bringing all the boys to the yard.

I don't know how she could even sit down. I am uncomfortable in correctly fitting jeans, so I always go a size big (and yes, look frumpy!).

I have no idea how or why she did it, but can't imagine anything worse than too tight clothes with no give in them.

Compartment syndrome is INCREDIBLY painful. ER doctors actually cut the affected limb open to relieve the pain and swelling.
Rhabdomyolysis is also very painful. It causes cramping, swelling and kidney damage and possible failure.
It's really weird that this woman could help someone move and squat all day without being in a lot of pain and feeling horrible. I think there's more to this story that the hospital can't say because of patient confidentiality.
There's nothing worse than being strangled by your clothing, especially tight jeans and pants. It's not flattering, and it's so uncomfortable. Besides, I don't want the type of boys that are only attracted to me because I'm wearing clothing so tight I might as well walk around naked.

Oh my gosh! You'd think the minute that she started feeling pain and numbness in her foot, she's get those puppies right off her! I'm glad it wasn't permanent damage. I wonder if skinny jean companies will have to start attaching warnings about not wearing jeans that are too tight during heavy labor & work.

I can recall back in the 80's, my sister's MIL telling us that "tight jeans cause UTIs". I never forgot that.

Gawd! I wish these reporters would get their stories right. The problem wasn't that she was wearing skinny jeans; the problem stemmed from wearing jeans that were too tight and had no give. She could have worn a pair of straight leg or bootcut jeans and had the same issue if they didn't fit properly. I have skinny jeans that are the most comfortable jeans I've owned because they fit right in the waist and they have some stretch.

Yeah, I was about to say I was surprised her skinny jeans didn't have lycra in them. Those look nice when they fit a person. I can't imagine her looking cute in her too tight jeans, so what is the point.
