Ladies, I know this is not SC related but I don’t want to make a whole thread.
Could someone recommend me a single hole punch? I have a crappy metal one but would like something that’s easier to use with a softer handle. I almost broke my hand using my one yesterday!
Thank you xoxo

peachiceteas I use the cropodile (sp?) for all of my hole punching. It cuts like buttah but I find it difficult to consistently be precise with it because it's not easy to see exactly where it is punching. Also the holes are not quite as wide as a traditional hole punch. Maybe they have versions with larger size hole options? I'm clearly no tool aficionado. I'll be watching the responses because I'd love to find an alternate solution to the cropodile.

Thank you xoxo I have 2 Fiskars ones with soft purple handles that I love. I have the regular sized circle one (1/4") and a mini one (1/8"). Love them both and have had them since 2006! I use them a lot! I too have a Crop A Dile but these are much simpler to just grab and use. I punch through page protectors, cardstock, transparencies and even thin chipboard. I didn't love it until someone on IG showed using it with the little paper scrap door flipped up so you could actually SEE where you are about to punch. Duh. I had only flipped that door up to empty out the paper scraps (for years). It's not a multifunctional tool and the holes are only one size but it will punch through just about anything I guess.

Which one of the fiskars ones would you use for punching holes for albums? I use the top one she recommended. The holes are exactly the right size for all of my albums. I have a Crop A Dile too, but it's so huge I don't reach for it unless I have to punch through chipboard.

That Fiskars one is about £20 cheaper than the Crop a Dile so that works for me. Thank you ladies for all your advice!

Which one of the fiskars ones would you use for punching holes for albums? On Day 18 of DD, Ali also recommended the Power Punch. It's more pricey but may be functional because it goes through thicker stuff. But if the Crop-a-dile is a pain to reach for, this might be too. www.amazon.com/Heavy-Standard-Punch-Crop-Dile/dp/B007QNVYJU

Love my Fiskars with the soft handles. Back in the day I was buying them in every shape possible (Pine tree? yep. Teddy Bear? yep.) I have the two that NicoleEP mentioned plus an even smaller one - 1/16" I think. The best part is, all the handles are purple, but different shades of purple so it's easy to grab the right one once you know which shade matches which size (pretty sure the darker the handle, the smaller the hole). I also have a couple from Hobby Lobby - their Paper Studio brand - which seem to also be pretty good quality and go on sale frequently, but I haven't had them for as long or used them as much as I have the Fiskars.

I only really want to punch through page protectors and the occasional journaling card so I’m wondering if these bigger tools from WRMK will be overkill for my needs.

Again with the power punch. This is when not being popular really bugs me...I still feel like I didn't get due credit when I mentioned finding that punch eons before 'someone' (not me) suggested it to Ali...and even then, she couldn't be bothered to give credit to that someone so everyone automatically gives the credit to her. I know, I know, she's not making anything off of it (unless she has affiliate links I'm unaware of), but it's irritating to see someone get credit for something that they didn't start and instead just mention 'someone' so that they get credit instead of the person who actually made the suggestion. I've no doubt I wasn't the only person to realize the usefulness of the punch, but she didn't even give credit to the person who suggested opening the black part meant to catch the punched out pieces in order to see where you were punching better.
At least the stuff from Jennifer McGuire in terms of tools (like the hit with the Kokuyo runner to replace the Tombow stamp runner) and organizing ideas (like the fridge binz for stamps) are credited to the right person.
Okay, sorry...whine over, lol.

The SC code is tempting, but with the sale and them taking so long to ship (I can't read anything about it because I'm nervous I'll see things I wish I had purchased, lol) and it being so close to the cancellation window, I worry that if I ordered now it wouldn't ship until after the cancellation window.
I hope it continues next month because atypical to my norm, the Feb kit looks decent in the sneaks (usually Feb is all pink and therefore an instant turn off for me). Is it just the DK with a code? Probably because shipping can be so inexpensive for it?

Well, apparently SCSTAMP5 is also a code. But you'd have to sub in 2 different orders. No SB one that I can figure out and I don't care about a planner one. But knowing there is one for the stamp makes it really tempting. Ugh! Why did I not look here earlier in the month!?!?

I don’t know why I do it! I used the stamp code for this month’s stamp (I don’t really care for florals/plants and that’s what it looks like for Feb). Now to just remember to cancel on the 25th.

Saw on SC's instagram that they have a new Color Theory collection out. A could of things:
1) I actually like the alphabet sizes. 6x12 is a nice size to use with lots of projects. Not too big. Not too small.
2) $9 for 18 rubber stars? Yikes. Maybe they are expensive to make, I dont know. But thats pricey.
3) Why do they continue to make the tab stickers and the labels with words on them? They are always left in the shop, sale after sale. They cant give them away.

If they have done this a year ago instead of those stupid planner clips April was so excited to "give birth to", maybe. But now I know to wait 6 months and the alphas will be 25 cents.

Still no numbers on the alphas? They freaking sell PL kits where people often track the weeks. Such a bad move. That's what I like the least about their alphas...I use thickers almost exclusively on 12x12 layouts and flat alphas like these in PL because it doesn't add bulk. But with the ones I got around Thanksgiving not having numbers, I already have to get creative or only use them for the first 12 weeks of the year or the 10's where the spelt out numbers aren't too long.

Can’t believe they’ve missed a trick AGAIN by not including blank labels. People keep asking for them OVER AND OVER.
I don’t like anything enough to buy - even with free international shipping

And that's why she (and Cathy Z) recommends that random 6 hole puncher from Amazon instead of the mint one from Michaels that everyone bought last year based on 2Peas recommendations. And I searched but couldn't find the Pea who first recommended it for SC/AE 6x8 albums.
