I'm still on the fence about the DK kit. If they offer the thing they did last month where you sign up for this month and you get last month's free, I will probably cave. :X OMG...I live under a rock. They did this? With the M2M option? 6 or 12 month commitment. I'm gonna be honest, I'm dead bored with my PL lately and seeing kits in the mail helps. Yes, I have a stash, but dang it I also like getting stuff in the mail that's already put together. Also, I love those vellum numbers. P.S. I still have the original large vellum numbers they released, so clearly I "need" more.

Did anybody go for the stamp subscription? It looks a bit more versatile than the KP foodie stamp set I have in my stash, but I just can’t decide if I need another food-themed stamp.

I subbed to the stamp subscription starting last month for 12-months and I don't regret it. The last 3 months have all seemed like really great stamps, but I missed out on the December stamp (reading/book themed) because it was sold out. Last month was travel themed, and except for two abstract circles, I love all of the elements and there is a great mix of icons/sentiments and I've already used it a ton. This month the food themed one seems great also, but I don't have KP's foodie stamp, the only food themed one I have is AE's "eat" story stamp which honesty was lacking IMO and is purely sentiment based. I love that SC has a mix of icons and sentiments in their stamp sub, but if you already have a ton of food sentiments it might be over kill? I don't feel too concerned about subscribing because you can skip a month if you want and they often give enough sneaks so you can make an educated decision on if you should skip. I also really appreciate that the sub comes with the digital stamp also. But if I didn't have the 12-month price idk that it would be worth it. I also don't have a great system for storing 6x8 stamps because I don't have too many of them so I worry that once I start piling these up I will need to come up with something different.

Well, there you are, ol' friend, collecting dust on the second page... Just for funsies: April is talking about going to the Alt Summit in Palm Springs later this month (and how they're staying longer to celebrate Kit's birthday #familyvacationpaidbythebusiness). And the talk she'll be giving on starting a business. And the talk their e-commerce marketing director will be giving. And the talk their HR person will be giving. Excuse me but can someone be the Statler to my Waldorf because...

They posted about 9x12 today and someone asked when other color albums are coming and they replied they only plan to stock the black at this time. WHY?? You're the only company that really pushes this size for pocket pages (given that the page protectors are NEVER in stock) so why would you only want to carry one color? I would throw all my money at literally any other company at this point.

I seem to remember gluestickgirl saying that in a reveal chat they were. I really dislike black, and pleather for that matter, for albums. I realize pleather is more practical but I prefer the linen type finish. (And I make anyone who's going to touch my albums wash their hands first, lol)

I'm aggravated because I purchased a grey 9x12 from SC for PL this year, have since realized I'm adding an insert almost every week and will need a second and they're nowhere to be found on their website anymore. This was just released in December, it wasn't some clearance album I picked up last minute, what in the actual f*ck?!?

Are the 9x12 landscape or portrait?
I saw a landscape 5x7 album today and it was intriguing. I didn’t buy it because I don’t know what I’d use it for but I liked it. I used to love landscape layouts but 8 1/2x11 was slightly too big

I'm going to keep being a nosy gossipy b*tch right until the weekend ends: went to check April's IG. It was her birthday (oh my Gaaawd, April, haaaappaaaay buuuurthdaaaaay, guuurl!). She tagged the Greg for photo credit and you know the rule: you tag, I click. So, I clicked. Dude went to Spain with his parents where his dad met up with someone he'd known for a couple of years 45 years ago. Ok, cute story. Then he talks about worshipping at the Iglesia de Cristo (Church of Christ) in "Baldona." Alright, that's weird. That's not a typical Spanish church. Also, Baldona has got to be Badalona. I ask the Catalan SO, he's like: "Must be Badalona. Baldona doesn't exist. That's got to be one of the few Evangelical churches. They're located in normal buildings and have maybe 20 people attending." We have this discussion about Born Agains and end up Googling stuff because, clearly, we still don't get all these Christian denominations or why Christians don't step over from one denomination to another when visiting abroad and presented with the opportunity to enjoy a mass service in a historical, truly old, gorgeous Christian church. It's still the Bible and Yahweh and Jesus Christ. Just skip the Holy Communion. Oh well. We're not good at this religious thing. So, anyhoo, that's my bit of uninteresting gossip for this thread today. Thought it was appropriate since it's Sunday. Go ahead, handslap away if you feel like it. No, I didn't have anything better to do with my time at the moment, clearly.
Random question: do we have any non-Christian scrapbook folks in the industry? Altenew seems the most open to catering to at least the two other main Abrahamic religions. Just being a curious kitteh.

I was looking at the She Loves Color event and April is teaching at it...I didn't know she taught. Am I wrong to think it could be a train wreck? Or something super simple? sleepingbooty Ali doesn't seem to cast her religious views into her scrapbooking aside from SBTM. But yeah I don't know of any that really aren't Christian based.

Yeah April is definitely Christian. Southern Baptist, maybe? Cannot recall. What I noticed in her feed the other day was what she was spending on Kit's 4th birthday party. Its was like $400+ for party decor and prizes.

Good question. Ali definitely tries to downplay her religion, but I'm pretty sure she was raised Catholic. I wouldn't be surprised if KP was an atheist, but she could also just try to keep her religion a secret to not alienate customers (although she definitely doesn't do that with politics... which I'm fine with because I agree with her, but could totally see it being a bad business move). Heba Alsibai doesn't sell supplies but she's on a ton of creative teams and she's Muslim. I know it's always a challenge with her to work with the holiday themed products and she's good at coming up with creative ways, but she does skip December Daily. I would appreciate more diversity (not just religious, but in general) in the industry, but it's nice to see it at least popping up on creative teams a little bit.

I thought it was a big release but CS said they are sold out. I thought it was so odd, did they like order 5 albums in each color? I might ask again see if I get a different answer.

Thanks for the update, strange response from them since if something is sold out it shows as out of stock and not completely removed from their site. I swear you NEVER know with them, ugghhhh. I'm with you on the assumption they ordered five of each color, because that totally makes sense in SC's world

Were the 9 by 12 a pre-order item before they were stocked or was that the 6 by 12? Just wondering if that's why they disappeared so quick because they only had a small non pre-ordered inventory? Either that smart peas stockpiled them and bought lots! ....Or either that due to cash flow issues SC couldn't order a ton /fear of being stuck with them/ again not knowing what their customers want...Theories abound!!
Anyways, I must admit that I just assumed they'd be around for a bit and didn't need to jump on them straight away. If I had realised they were going to be sold out and not seemingly restocked, I would have bought several gray albums.

The email announcing 9x12 just says they are “back on the shelf.” The same email says that 6x12 albums are shipping. This was December 17. I was waiting to order an album or two with bundling but by December 30 only the black was left. WHAT A MYSTERY.

I'm not much of a class-taker but for anyone who may be interested I just got an email saying their Mini Book Workshops are all on sale for $10 until the end of the month. I don't even know if that's a good deal but thought I would share.
