I really enjoyed the Mini Book Mini Workshop - Nicole Reaves. It's a fun, technique-based handmade mini, and you wouldn't need a kit to follow along - just cardstock, embellishments and a little bit of chipboard. ETA: Lots of great samples in the class gallery as well. I copied the Stephanie Bryan one, and someone even did a DITL. Other ones I liked were Mini Book Workshop 2015|Maggie Holmes, Mini Book Workshop 2017|Jen Chapin & Mini Book Workshop 2018|Jamaica Edgell. The Celine Navarro one was crap. She was late in publishing it and it was clearly phoned in.

I have most of the workshops but not the Nicole Reaves one for whatever reason. $10 does seem kind of steep though for a mini book class.

I think the classes were originally priced at $10 .....and they used to offer the mini book classes for the year bundled...for $25. So when they post then for $10, I just can't

So when they post then for $10, I just can't And subbers got a pretty nice discount! Hah! I had forgotten about that....I went into one of my old mini book courses and yeah it was nice, but at the end of the day, you don't get a lot for your money & there are lots of other places online to get inspiration vs shelling out $10 for a class that (usually) doesn't teach anything new. If SC offered the classes at a discount instead of full price and IF they still had the subber discount, I may have been tempted to buy. It's easy money for them, so I don't get why AF thinks that its a good idea to keep offering them at full price.

I like the florals and I'm a sucker for a good hexagon. I just don't see the value in the kit especially with UK shipping and probably customs as well.

I like the looks of this kit, but keep thinking how pretty those patterns would be on a 12x12 paper. I wouldn’t order from them no matter how much I like the pocket kit because I don’t pocket scrap, I did order the pocket kits when I was a subber because it complimented the main kit. Now, there is nothing in the kit by itself, to me, that justifies the high month to month cost and I would never sub again since they got rid of all the perks of being a subber.
I like the hexagons too, but man, are the sticker and chipboard dies so damned expensive to create that they have to be using the same shapes they have been using for 5+ years? Can they not change it up a bit?

I could have sworn that the stamp sub in Jan (books) was posted somewhere and in the comments on Ig it was called bookish,....but I looked and I couldn't find. Just weird cos when I saw that they are calling this upcoming mths release "bookish"...I'd seen it before

🤯 that is awesome. Thanks for sharing! I love that they also have a craft section on that website with ideas for reusing the jars. I have been recycling mine, but may have to save a few now that they are a bit more functional with the option of a lid!

So, I got an email from SC that they are having a CLOSEOUT sale. Run, ladies, now is your chance to stock up on paper over 2 years old that is CLOSEOUT priced at 79 cent per sheet. They are practically giving it away! But, seriously how can they have so much stuff still in their warehouse? They need to just box it all up and donate it or actually sell it a discount that will get people to buy. I can’t imagine storing all this stuff is financially responsible. I just don’t get how they are still afloat.

Scrolling through the closeout category just depresses me. Again with the same old garbage.

Ahhh I suspected this mth's stamp sub would be an alpha cos of this IG post back in Dec, we've had 3 of the 4 stamps http://instagr.am/p/BrqGhDcIBxI this post confirmed it....I skipped my sub this mth. If I don't like the stamp next mth will cancel http://instagr.am/p/BvPf_bhnd2L It's not that the stamp is horrible, I just don't need an outline alpha

In comparison, KP is having a one day 35% off sale today, so I finally picked up the stamp that talks about bigs and littles, because I have 3 sets of friends that all have 2 boys the same age as mine. We frequently get the kids together and the young ones used to refer to themselves as "the littles" and the big ones used to call themselves "the bigs". Now the littles are not so little and don't want to be called that, but I have lots of older photos that I can use those stamps on. I thought 35% was pretty decent as a discount.

Call me crazy, but I wish SC had a 3-month sub option for the PL kit, because I'd pull the trigger on it right now. I liked last month's and I'm liking the sneaks for this month's.

mom just checking on you, hope you’re on the mend!!! <3 Hey, thanks for checking on me. Im getting better! No fever since Sunday night. Still sound like a smoker with a horrible cough & Im exhausted. Im still sleeping way more than I usually do so I am going to ask about that tomorrow at my checkup. Throw in an adult-ish child who can't be responsible and I am just in a funk. Im ready to feel better. Between the stress and being sick, I am down 7 lbs so there is that silver lining!

One thing I definitely don’t need from SC is more alpha stamps!
