Anyone sort of perturbed that the Merry & Bright TN kit is now on sale so soon? *sigh* I mean, I like the kit, but i would have liked it more on sale.

Having not really paid any attention to SC for months and months now, I was shocked all over again today when I looked at the price for their Documenter sub. Even a full year sub is 25.99 per month??? There's no way that the value is anywhere close to that. I know this isn't news to anyone here - but WOW!!! Does anyone sub and find that it's worth it?

I bought a one off kit a month or two back and I really like it and I’m glad I bought it. However I’m not impressed by this months - infact I think all the sneaks and photos online are edited to appear brighter because the colours don’t appear to be as vibrant on the product page.

What do you wise and wonderful ladies predict for a Black Friday sale this year at SC?! I mean - most products would have to be at least 50% off for me to even consider!

Wow, not impressed with this month's kit. I haven't looked at the kits in a while since I don't subscribe, but my only thought looking at the documenter kit was giving us the inside circles to the wood veneer is not another embellishment. It is part of the first. I do like the movie stamp but it would be way better if it came with a die to cut out the ticket shape.

When I read marysboys post, I said in my head a 2% discount with extra shipping. You are (also) such a smarta$$. I like that about you.

This thread is barely active discussing new releases anymore, that's how sad they have become... ugh.
I am cancelling my documenter sub after December. I held on so long because of the rewards status (I had gold from subbing for 3 years) but since that is no longer a thing I see no incentive not to cancel and resub if I change my mind down the road. I do still like the DK sometimes, but this year there have been a lot more phoned in kits than good ones. The embellishments especially have sucked. This month is particularly bad. Many of the cards look like straight up repeats. They have used that same font and formatting for quotes before and they used that same "house is made of walls and beams..." quote before (maybe it was Ali, but I think it was SC). The only reason I'm keeping the sub at this point is for those monthly cards... I can't handle quitting them partway through the year.
It will be kinda sad not getting my monthly kit from them anymore, but it's also a good thing... I also sub to all of AE's kits and like to pick up kits as one offs from a couple other brands (KP, FYC, FJ) so I am constantly buying more than I can use. I have been tracking my monthly input/output of PL cards for the last year and a half and I have yet to have a month where I use more than I bring in. I scrapbook a lot and use a lot of supplies, but I am excited to finally start making a dent in my stash instead of steadily growing it constantly.
I also have the stamp sub and will continue it for a bit, but mostly because I can skip months (I skipped this month) so I don't feel like it's too much of a commitment.

Yep November is my last month w/SC. I thank them for a particularly hideous kit for my send off, it helped cement my decision.

This month’s kit is just awful. Sad colors, no cohesion at all, repeats upon repeats. What is up with the random cactus photo?

I have gotten SC for the last year - mainly for the month cards. This coming year I will not be purchasing SC kits. I am not sure what I will be using for my monthly cards but it will be something I make/print on my own vs depending on SC.

I checked out the Studio Calico Sale tab and they have Baby Boy Bakery kits for $5. My nephew loves to cook with his mom (my sister) and Grandma; I picked up two kits for him for Christmas.

I am also waiting for December’s kit to round out my 2019 album, and will need to find something else for 2020. I have gotten SC kits for as long as I’ve done PL (since 2013!) so it will be really strange to move on, but I really can’t find a reason to stick around.

You can usually get most items from the kit separately if there is something that I just have to have. But otherwise, I would rather use what I have and try something new.

They had small phrase/word stickers this past month ( oak hill phrase stickers ) but they were randomly highlighted I like small word sticker like that for my planner so I bought an extra set. Those types of stickers are great fir working small in a memory planner. Booty's just being stubborn. I want the little scribbly word phrase stickers like they had in the Messy Box (heavy sigh). Back in the day... Thanks for thinking of me though. mom kindly sent me her extra sheets.

I actually love (and live surrounded by) some of those "sad" colours but they've been paired very poorly and just look like a washed-out misprint next to the rest. It's odd. "Feeling all my feelings" What's that about? I am not big on the SC sentiments in general but what would I use this for? A Becky Higgins crying selfie? "Living the length and the width" I feel like I'd only use this ironically if I were to take a photo of my unbuttoned trousers after Christmas dinner (which I don't want to see in my albums ). Overall, I could have really liked this kit. It suits my slightly hipster muted aesthetic but they dropped the ball for me to love it. The 3x4 stamp set is very versatile but I'm not from a thankful culture (ha). And I need to love it + use everything from it to be worth $33.

There are some amazing digi designers who put out monthly collections. Epson Matte Presentation paper is a fave for those printing out digi goodies. Liz Tamanaha will be declining her monthly calendars for documenters and mentioned she'll be releasing them a little later this year in smaller format. Plenty of options for you to choose from beyond SC. Bonus: it'll be cheaper, too.

Definitely something homemade with digital goodies - and preferably something that I can buy all at once vs waiting each month for new digi kit/file. Ideally I want to make them all ahead of time so each month I am ready to go. I'm just tired of 1) wasting money at SC and 2) being dependent on another person or company each month.

I prefer to design my own and she has so many good options with her alpha/number/word stamps.

"Living the length and the width" I am so sick of these cheesy 'sentiments'. I've BEEN sick of them. They come across as fake as fake can. (Thinking of Elaine Benes when she told Jerry that she had faked it with him and all of the moaning was fake 😂 - Fake, fake, fake, fake! )

So - can one of the long time SC subscribers tell me if there is a label stamp (like the labels that they offer in digital form) and a die that matches the labels? Bonus points if you can share or find a photo.
