Do we think that the plastic circle with January will be the 2020 version of the month embellishments? Do you think that each month will include a circle of a different color or would they change up shapes as well?

Totally off topic minus the fact that we’ve been discussing stamps — have y’all ever used Kerri Bradford’s stamps? I’m thinking about buying some today (like $50 worth) and am hesitant to pull the trigger... I used mine again yesterday and I thought of your post. They stamp so crisp which is really nice as some of the text on the sentiments is quite small and thin. I stamped them using memento tuxedo ink on Epson glossy paper (my winning combo). I hope she comes out with some good ones this year as I would definitely purchase again.

Well I’m done! I finally cancelled my documenter kit. I missed the cut off for January so receiving that one, but am officially done otherwise. I ended up liking the December kit better than I thought I would. The cards are great!
But I just can’t justify spending that much money on a kit that doesn’t have value = to what I pay most months anymore Plus I really need to use what I have so I am on a complete scrapbook spend freeze for the foreseeable future.

Do we think that the plastic circle with January will be the 2020 version of the month embellishments? Do you think that each month will include a circle of a different color or would they change up shapes as well? It's weird that they haven't said anything about this. Their "monthly embellishments" have been a thing for 3 years now (cork words, rubber words, transparency cards) and they usually hype them quite a bit... they have actually been one of the good ideas they have had over the past few years... one of the reasons I kept my sub as long as I did was because I wanted to finish out 2019 with the monthly cards! I also hesitated canceling for a minute because I was curious what they would have this year... I loved last year's monthly cards, but they didn't have any/many sneaks until late in the month so I canceled before the deadline and I'm happy I did.
Thinking of it, they didn't hype the January kit much at all which is so weird... the beginning of the year is when they usually probably pick up the most subbers because people like consistency in their albums and to switch designers for a new year... especially considering KP's announcement, some of her subbers might be looking for other options for 2020. I've always felt in the past they put some of their best designs in January for this reason... but this month the only thing I really like is the chipboard set. The rest is kinda bleh with a lot of repeat embellishments and recycled designs. That, plus the lack of hype, makes it seem like they're not even trying anymore.

Good for you! Good luck with the spending freeze. I decided to use the code this month to sign up m2m for the Documenter. When the kits have chipboard, I’m pretty much sold as it’s my favourite embellishment in the whole wide world. I will cancel after it’s been shipped but I’m open to buying more of their kits this year, if they keep up the card quality and chipboard appears in the kit. No chipboard = no purchase for me pretty much.

Can anyone tell me what the paper quality of the SC travelers notebooks are like?

I kind of love the new SC stamp pockets! They are so much better than the old plastic packaging.
The stamp subscription stamp set this month is so cute. I am definitely going to make my own background paper using this set.

I agree, you still have to plan things out a bit if you're going to stamp on certain pages etc as it will show through a bit.
The cover is the same thickness as the rest of the journal, so I always glue the first two and last two pages together to give it more structure.

I like the SC stamp pockets as well, but I can't help but feel that it's a little too late. I've already organized all of my stamps in Avery Elle pockets, so I'm not inclined to do a reorg.... and with the crazy new stamp prices, I'm not certain if I'll be seeing any of the new pockets come by way anyhow! ha! I have one TN kit left on my sub and I will be cancelling afterward.

I'm considering drinking the SC Documenter Kool-aid again. I'm starting up PL again for 2020, new supplies keep the project fresh for me. There are so few options out there. I love AE's aesthetic but her cards just do not work for me. I have so many unused. Elle's is cohesive and a great price point, but just not my style. I rarely love the stamp that comes with FYC.
So, are there any codes out there to start a new sub? Or something that lets me cancel at any time?

It’s like a reverse Bermuda Triangle. I would love to see the inside! We saw all of it in April's Mega (Mega?) Sale IG stories. Aaaah, I should've taken some screenshots for archival purposes. It was seriously underwhelming. Normal store shelving that didn't go high. Loads of baskets that the pickers pick from. I really thought it was going to look more professional and impressive than it did. Tracie Claiborne has a video of the sale from August for you to enjoy. I am not sure if that is their real warehouse or a space they rented for the sale. The large windows don't seem like a warehouse to me.

They had the code SUBFOR10 a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not certain if it's still valid
On their latest IG post they mentioned: "code SUB2020 to get 20% off the first month of a new kit subscription"
Hope that helps!

Nothing is “new”. There’s also citrus twist kits and cocoa daisy you could look at.

I have looked at both CT and CD, subbed to both at one time or another as well. They just aren't for me. It's so frustrating having to settle.

I’ve just bought backups of two card packs that I love. Citrus Twist I loved the variety of embellishments but I find the cards hit or miss. I subbed to CT for a year and gave it up last year. I’ve resubbed to SC for this month and will probably unsub unless the sneaks look GOOOOD. I will sub and unsub on and off to SC this year I imagine.

I just got my January stamp kit...and I think I like the new plastic sleeves. Admittedly I'm not sure about the longevity quality of the plastic, but it seems to at least be thick enough to be sturdy. I think I might get more of the 6x8 sleeves for my alphabets. I might get some of the other sizes to put stamps in when I go to a crop (I took all of my SC stamps out of the plastic bags to help simplify my storage, but kept some for travel purposes).

I skipped my stamp kit this month, but I'm kinda excited for the sleeves... I've been having trouble with stamps that I use frequently falling off the backing and getting lost.
Are these sleeves similar to the ones from Everyday Explorers? I love hers and bought a few extra but she doesn't always have them in stock and I only want to buy them when I'm ordering something else because of shipping costs. Plus, I think she only offers them in 4x6.

Anybody here got some Everyday Explorers stamp sets to check whether SC are now offering the exact same sleeve as she has for years?

The new stamp sleeves are so up my street - the stamp in my Documenter kit came with one.
They're made with a really thick, sturdy plastic. And I would love to put all of my stamps in one, but the SC prices are a little high for me.
I'll be spending my evening trawling the internet for a dupe. Will report back if I find anything!

Passport sleeve could be a good shout!

The passport sleeves are Avery so if I get to a staples I’ll see if I can see how durable the vinyl feels compared to the SC sleeve then at least I might have some specifications of how thin/thick the vinyl is to google with.
