DH totaled my car on Monday so today we had to go sign some paper at the insurance office. We decided to beebop around some car lots to see what was out there and then we found the best little pizza and beer shop. We had a Thai Shrimp pizza with toasted coconut and pineapple, so so good. We put the top down and took the long way home and decided to snuggle up in bed early to look at more cars. We're so romantic... 'so, hot stuff. How do you feel about air conditioned seats?" Hubba Hubba. Ha.

I'm nearing the end of my 2-week wallowing period that I gave myself to accept the divorce situation. Come Monday, I will force myself to re-join the land of the living and get my booty out of this house and whatnot. The past two weeks have been filled with lots of movies, TV, cleaning and organizing and just general thinking. It's going to be okay, I am convinced. Tonight I did a few loads of laundry, watched several episodes of the past season of "The Good Wife" and ate some popcorn, while playing Words With Friends on the iPad. My son and his gf are at a concert at the Montana State Fair and he texted me several pictures. I am so happy they are having a nice time because last night they were both sick with flu-like junk. I have a trip booked to fly out and visit them in September and tonight I also investigated a commuter flight from Billings to his tiny town for when I arrive and depart, so that will save them two 6-hour round-trip rides to pick me up and return me. I didn't book those tonight because I was on my iPad and felt that I was just a bit too tired to trust myself to have the right dates, lol. I also made a to-do list of a few things I want to get done before my vacation out there. Little projects around the house, a doctor's appointment and purchase a small freezer for the basement. I've actually felt more alive and gotten more accomplished today than I have in the past two weeks, and that makes me happy.

Well more has been added in my head at least to the DH saga I posted about earlier. The layers seem to be multiplying. I'm exhausted, on my "deal" as DD calls it and just pissed. Tomorrow is my birthday celebration with the kids, DH and his parents at an ice cream parlor about an hour north of here. I hope to God I don't go off tonight but it's not looking promising. Otherwise, I'm just surfing the net. I took care of some chores earlier so tonight I might just stew (sp). LOL. um, we need details. Seriously, I am sorry. ^this. You ok? what more has happened?

In July my basement flooded. Unfortunately my scrapbooking room was one of the rooms that started to fill up with water. My daughters and I quickly bagged up things and moved everything out into the family room. Piles everywhere! There was barely any room to walk through. We made paths. No damage to the walls. Thankfully most of my stuff is in plastic bins. The carpets were taken care of right away. Anyway, I'm slowly reorganizing and putting everything back in its place. Tonight I started going through some of my mom's belongings that I had rescued from my parents basement. I haven't really gone through them yet. My mom passed away 3 months before my husband. I just go through it a little at a time. My mom enjoyed writing down inspirational verses and quotes. I found this gem in her handwriting. "Live in the present moment. Don't obsess about the past or worry about the future. All you need is right here now." Anything in her handwriting is a treasure to me. She had ALS and lost the ability to write early on. I was also looking through her daily planners. I have 2004-2009. You could see the decline in her handwriting. She wrote everything down. Even the times when she first starting falling down. I didn't realize she fell that often. She only told me about a few times.

I went to a talk about women and children in our community. I took a friend's mom there. She got the time wrong and we got there at 7:30. (The talk started at 9 and went until 11). It was in Arabic and babble. There was also the odd English word here and there. I have no idea what got said. The speaker was an important person in the community. It was odd.

Watched Cedar Cove and now just reading here and DH is watching TV. We're cool like that. BORING....... Whats Cedar Cove? Am I missing a good series? It's a Debbie Macomber series on Lifetime TV. I think it's based on her series of books called Cedar Cove. It's good and a little cheesy, but most shows on Lifetime are. If you have Xfinity TV you can catch up on the series.

I'm reading this on Sunday evening, and I can't wait to google "Vegas Bomb" and "St. Germaine Margartias" .....whatever they are, they both sound YUMMY!!! Saturday night we had a nice dinner out, then watched "Selma"....omg----SO sad....That scene in the beginning where the sweet little girls are talking about their hair, and how much they want their hair to look like Mrs. King's, etc ......and then the shocker I wasn't ready for.... Then that guy's elderly Dad being hit by the police, and everything else..... :-[I also hated the way Oprah's character was treated when she tried to register to vote, AND when she fell down during the riot .. P.S....on a lighter note---I love that the actor who played Dr. King is British, and had the BEST Georgia accent! AND, another Brit (Tom Wilkinson ) playing President Johnson with a Texas accent! The actress who played Mrs. King was SO pretty and looked SO much like her!
