I have been enjoying reading the posts here and am getting the bug to get back into scrapbooking on a regular basis. In the past few years I scrapped once or twice a year at weekend crops and I quit reading the scrapping board at 2 Peas. Now that I am here, I'm reading everything and getting the bug. It's good to be shook up once in a while.

Agree! I'm thinking about PL-style scrapping after a very long hiatus, and even dug some stuff out of my stash this morning. I'm happy that the new board is inspiring folks to come back to the fold!

I agree! I've been on a crazy creating spree lately. Maybe it's just me, but this New board is more exciting and freeing for some reason...it could be because it's newer though, who knows.

Definitely feels that way. Do you think it's because there isn't a gallery here that could make some feel intimidated and because everyone has a low post count and starting over? Or maybe it's that there's not that push to get published that existed on the old board for such a long time (since there are not many mags left). It really seems like everyone is very helpful and encouraging. Love it! |

I think there is some commeradrie in the way we were able to survive after being abruptly dropped from 2 Peas. We are more that just a message board, we are a community. That means taking interest in and participating in the thing that drew us together in the beginning.

I'm into scrapping again too and I think it is because of this board. I had gotten to the point where I had been out of scrapping for so long, I thought I'd never be able to pick it up again. However, I've jumped right in and found the basics haven't really changed.
Everyone on this board seems to be really welcoming of us prodigal scrappers!

Aunt Kelly, I"m glad you feel welcome and have started scrapping again. Scrapping is good for the craft and the soul. My niece just started scrapping and said, "Next time you have a scrap party will you invite me?" I think, just for her, instead of a crop, I'll host a scrap party.  |

That's awesome! So nice to hear people are enjoying this board, and even better- enjoying scrapbooking again! I think that 2peas closing really was an eye-opener for many of us.

Me too! Maybe losing 2Peas made us realise the importance of what we had? And there is so much sharing on here, without all the worrying about the TOU and links that weren't allowed...it's just all GOOD. And positive and encouraging, without being overly saccharine. I love it!

Me, too! I think the struggle to survive so we don't lose our community revitalized a lot of people. I have lots of ideas floating around in my head, but I've been so busy I haven't had time to sit down and create yet, but I so desperately want to! I'm always jotting ideas down at work while I'm sitting at my desk. Too bad I can't scrapbook at work!
