I must be getting old... a "douche canoe"? Never heard of that before! Not about to defend him or any other married man that would do the same thing. Totally not acceptable in my book. ETA: but I do agree with caro People can turn their lives around and find forgiveness. That said, in my relationship with dh, for us to stay married I'd have to be able to accept the forgiveness that he'd be seeking and move on from that and I don't think that I could do that. |

I have a hard time with the "Porn Star" being under a lie detector reported by In Touch magazine but as you said it's not that far from what we've learned so wouldn't be too hard to swallow.
I really hope he gets the help he needs. Any person famous or not deserves a chance to turn their life around. Up to his wife to determine whether or not she's given up on him. Certainly would hate to be her right now.

Not defending him one but, frankly what he does/did has no bearing on my life but it is so ick when a porn star comes out looking for her 15 minutes of fame and all under a lie detector. Yeah right. Her saying, " [She assumes that by sharing her story, more ladies like her will come forward with their tales of romps with Duggar." is even weirder. What would the point of that be? I think she forgets who butters her bottom, umm bread. I just shake my head as I question what her own family thinks.

I don't doubt that J.D. had sex with her. I'm sure he had sex with lots of women. And sure, paying for sex isn't my cup of tea, per se, but it sure isn't as disgusting as molesting underage girls. |

I totally get what you're saying. But I think it's the public shoving his "family values" and "traditional marriage" down our throats is where the problem lies. Here he is super judgmental on people who live their lives differently, even going as far as to publicly represent an organization that promotes those same "values", but then he's out there secretly paying for sex with a prostitute. That's what's disgusting to me. and yeah, the prostitute probably got paid handsomely for her story, so that was her motivation. If she'll take $1000 ($500 short of their agreement) for rough sex with Josh, and then do it with him again after a bad experience, then she'll sell him down a river for $50,000 or whatever the magazine paid her. The whole thing is sad and I feel horrible for Anna and the kids. |

Like she says, she probably will be one of many to come forward now that he's been identified. The man is a piece of crud and is unlikely to ever change. What he is likely to do is do the meek act and get all forgiven and turned loose on society again.

I was actually just laughing at how ridiculous her statement sounded. It was just such a disconnect. Quite the statement to make about someone you willingly involved yourself with not long ago. It made me laugh, that's all. It probably shouldn't have. Anyway, I wasn't trying to make any comparative statement about either of them. I find the whole thing to be such a colossal mess.
