Is there a way to change the yellow folder icon on threads we've commented on? I've seen on other boards where that folder gets a black dot on it, so we know we've commented on that thread already.

In the meantime you can click on the box that says "Participated". It's at the right of the Forum bar. Click on that and you get a drop down box showing the threads you have commented on. If there are new comments on that thread, "NEW" will be next to "Participated". Not quite as easy as the thread changing out, etc. but still better than nothing.

Bumping my own thread back to the top to ask if it's possible to enable something like this, please? I really like to be able to scroll down the posts list and have a visual indicator of posts I've commented. Thanks!

I haven't been ignoring this (apart from my 4 weeks without internet access, grrr!) but haven't had any kind of answer until now... A different icon is not possible that I can tell, the folder icon already changes depending on the type (eg sticky thread, 'hot' topic etc) so a commented indicator would conflict with that. I'll keep investigating, as there's a slim chance it would still be possible if we have two full sets of icons but I'm not seeing a way to do that right now. BUT I think I have just managed to make a chance which will help visually - thread titles should now be a different colour after you've visited the link ie read it. Doesn't help with which ones you've commented on specifically, but it's a step in the right direction I hope (and one that many members wanted anyway)  |
