UPDATE: It looks like they have eliminated the bugs in the new site. Perhaps forcing customers to use the new site made it easier to figure out the bugs quickly, because frustrated users called and reported the problems. Before, the customers could just go back to the old site and were less likely to take the time to report the issues.
Original post:
There are a few things I like about the new site, but now that it appears users can no longer go back to the old site (which I have had NO trouble downloading from as recently as yesterday), I cannot download files in my cart. I get no error message. It's just that nothing happens after I enter my password and click submit. The submit button is not the only button that doesn't work on the new site, either. The arrow buttons to see additional similar files or more files by the same artist don't work, either.
Somehow I managed to get to a chat option, and someone was actually there. He told me I needed to update the software to the newest version, released when the Curio was released. So I downloaded and installed the new version, and absolutely nothing has changed. The problem appears to be their new site. Except that I can no longer access a chat option and now need to wait till tomorrow.
I tried to see if I could download the files by going online outside of the software. It worked eventually, but my new version of the software could not seem to connect to the server, even though I do NOT have Windows 10, which has known conflicts. I have Windows 7.
I've had no issues until tonight, when I had to use their new site. I have always downloaded through the old site and had no problems.
I also noticed that on the new site, I don't get the larger images when I hold the mouse over the image when I am looking through the designs in the store. I can't see any way to get a larger image other than clicking on the design and then having to go back after. What a pain! It seemed like I could get the larger images previously on the new site, but not now.
Anyone else having issues? Can you access the old site? Are you able to download from the new site through the software?

Weird. I am not having any trouble with the site.
I can enlarge the photos when I put my mouse over them, arrows are working, and I just downloaded an image with no trouble.
Have you restarted your computer? Maybe try that?

I haven't had any problems with shapes, but I purchased several fonts, and none of them show up. I have had several conversations with them, done everything they told me to do, and they still don't show up. Ugh.

I was able to checkout and the items in my cart downloaded to my Silhouette software. The only thing that happens when you checkout after you type the PW is that you should get a message saying the items need to be downloaded when from within the Silhouette software, and that you can't download directly from the design store any more. But that changed before the new site went live. I don't really like the new site either, and I don't like that they removed the option to return to the old site. The new one looks like it was designed by kindergartners. I do see some of the issues that you're having, scrapnnana. I can still see the enlarged image when I mouse-over the image on all pages except for the home page and the clearance page. The right & left arrows for the scrolling lines of image categories (like "trending images") on the home page did not initially work for me, but when I left the home page and then came back they worked. (Can you tell I've been a software tester??)

Fonts sometimes have to be installed separately via the Admin account on your computer, depending on your OS & specific setup for permissions, etc. on your PC.

I purchased the font through the store, so I see the little graphic for it, but nothing comes up when you click on it, or when you go to the Alpha key to create text.

I couldn't get my password to work once I updated, so I ended up resetting my password.

After playing around with it some more, I found that I could put in my password, then just hit my Enter key instead of using the Submit button. The download worked fine that way, from within the software.
Someone responded to my email very promptly and asked if I could download from the Internet rather than through the software.
I will try again tomorrow, but to reboot my computer takes awhile, so I don't want to take the time to do it tonight. I need to get stuff off my computer and do a defrag to speed it up, but for now, I will just boot it up tomorrow and see if anything improves. I may also try to access the site through my laptop. Since my machine is connected to my desktop, I don't usually use my laptop, but I do have the software on it, just not the most recent version. I will have to check and see which version is on my laptop. I know it has to be a fairly recent update to be able to download files at all.

I don't mind the new site. I really like that I can just hover over an image to get a closer look and find out who designed it.
My biggest concern right now is the new items for $5.99 that I have been seeing for the last couple of weeks. I can not understand why they justify that price tag. I hope it's not a sign of things to come. I love my subscription but I will not be paying $6 for a sheet of planner stickers when I can buy an entire digital kit with papers and embellishments for that price. I mean it's not like they're actually stickers!

I think you are referring to the Ready, Set, Make section? The new items for $5.99 seem to be several file designs used together to make a project, like they do with the Cricut Explore. For example, the paper doll set in that category. Well, I already had the paper dolls I liked, which were downloaded to make magnetic paper dolls for a grandchild. If I add up the designs they used in the project, it adds up to the same price as if I downloaded them individually. Since I had already bought the paper doll designs I wanted, I see no point in buying the project. The prices of the projects in that section seem to be based on if you bought the number of designs in each particular project. The ones that are $2.99 have three 99 cent cutting files, the ones that are $5.99 have 6 cutting files.
They are just project ideas using multiple designs that you can download together to make the project instead of having to hunt for each design individually and then download them. I think the idea is to get you to buy more designs at once that can go together. If you were just browsing the regular What's New section, you might only buy one or two of the designs that are are grouped for their projects. They are probably hoping people will buy more designs that way, if they see a fun project to make with them.

I have Windows 7 and the newest update and everything is working fine for me. I only use the software to download - I shop and purchase from my browser. Have you cleared your browser cache? That might help get rid of any old instances of the store that could be causing a conflict. With older versions of Studio, when you accessed the store from the software - it used IE (Safari for Mac's). With the most current download, when you access the store from your software - it will use your default browser. HOORAY! I still open a browser to shop/buy though. I purchased the font through the store, so I see the little graphic for it, but nothing comes up when you click on it, or when you go to the Alpha key to create text. It won't show up in your font list until you close out of the software. It will then install the font in your system fonts. If that is not happening -something in your computer settings is blocking it. You should be able to see your SDS purchased fonts in your Library though.

My biggest concern right now is the new items for $5.99 that I have been seeing for the last couple of weeks. No - these are not in the Ready-Set-Make section, they are just planner stickers. The "Planner Craze" is huge. I think the planners themselves are WAY overpriced. I guess this designer is just following the price point on the planners, for her sticker files. I have designed a lot of sticker pages, and they are a lot of work - but no way would I pay that for a file when I can design my own.

Oh, I hadn't even noticed the price on the planner stickers. I tend to ignore those. I think if people refuse to pay the price, that the price may come down. Yes, that is considerably overpriced IMO,

Back on the conflict issues with the new site. I closed and shut down everything last night, and I am still having the same issues with my desktop. The cursor over the image still does not give me a bigger version.
However, it works fine on my laptop. I had an older version, so I updated, and it still lets me see the larger picture when the cursor is over the image. The desktop has the same software, but the cursor over will not give the bigger picture. Not sure why my desktop is not cooperating. I cleared my cookies and browser cache, closed everything, then reopened my Silhouette software. It still will NOT show an enlarged image. It will from the Internet, but not when browsing in the software.
Some of the buttons still don't work in the new software, such as the arrow keys for seeing more designs, but that is when I click on a design, and I want to see additional designs that are similar, or more from the same artist, etc. The arrow keys on the main page work fine.
I have not tried the Submit button today, since I have nothing I want to download this morning. At least using the Enter key worked for that last night. I was able to download both from the website as well as through the software, as long as I just used the Enter key after putting in my password, instead of the Submit button.
I wish they had not gotten rid of the older site before they had all the bugs worked out of the new site, but other than the bug issues, I don't mind the new site. I thought they had done away with enlarging images, and that bothered me the most. I was also pretty irate that I could not seem to download the designs I wanted. I rather like the Ready, Set, Make section. I haven't downloaded any designs from it, but I hope to see some fun projects there in the future. Their current offerings are okay, but I already have plenty of designs I can use to make similar projects.

I tried mine through the software. It still seems painfully slow that way... Some of the buttons still don't work in the new software, such as the arrow keys for seeing more designs, but that is when I click on a design, and I want to see additional designs that are similar, or more from the same artist, etc. The arrow keys on the main page work fine. That seems to be working OK for me. ...OK just went back and tried it again.. Now it isn't scrolling. I also like the Ready-Set-Make. I haven't bought anything there yet - but I like the concept! What is your default browser? Mine is Chrome, and that seems to work the best of the three that I use (Chrome, FireFox, IE) - but FireFox also works great. I just don't have it set as my default.

I think their new site sucks, personally... if you no longer have an option to go 'back' to the old site, then I don't see myself shopping on there very much any more, actually.
I'm afraid to go check it out!

The front page, or splash page, whatever you call it, is what I don't like-- the top portion of the screen just looks so blank, with only that search box. The re-designed website might be better for showing people what cut files are out there, and the ready-set-make section is a good idea... but-- I glanced at a couple of those projects, and they don't say whether they consist of cut files or printable designs. I don't do printable designs with my Silhouette, so I'd be mad if I bought something I couldn't use.
eta: and if I hover my cursor over the designs, they don't show as larger for me, either.

I had this issue a while back with one of the upgrades. If you right click on the font in your library you should get the option to install the font. Hopefully that will work for you.

I honestly haven't had any issues. I don't think the site looks that bad, but I will say I have no idea why they bothered to spend all that time, effort, and money giving it a facelift without putting in some basic wishlist functionality (like manually list sorting, multiple lists, etc.) or fixing long-standing annoyances (it still requires too many clicks to get to an artist from an image, and it's harder than it used to be to add things to your wishlist from the multi-image view). It basically has all the same annoyances as before, plus a few new ones. Meh.

I'm not happy either. I tried making a purchase last night and like you, nothing happened. I contacted Silhouette and to my surprise got a customer service rep right away. He (Erik) recommended that I purchase from the website, which I did and which seemed to work, and then I tried to install the design in the software by going to File>Pending downloads. That's where I ran into more trouble - it didn't do anything and froze the software entirely. I have sent another e-mail but have heard nothing further - very frustrating. Don't they test these changes? I'm going to try to bypass the "Submit" button to see if it helps but grrrr.... it drives me nuts - the design store worked fine before! If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Running Maverick and do not find the new site an improvement. No larger image when I hover and it has locked up on me more than once. Ugh.

I haven't tried to download anything for a few days, but the arrow buttons were functional that show related designs (when you click in a particular design, it will show similar designs and other designs by the same artist). Before, they did nothing. So hopefully they are working out the kinks.
And at least when within the software, I can just hit the enter key instead of the submit button, and it lets me download through the software. Their support team had emailed me and said I should just bypass the software and download via the Internet. I know some folks prefer to do it that way, but it's an extra step or two and takes more time, so I really don't like to go that route.

I just ran a test.
I had 2 Halloween designs I wanted to purchase, so I thought I'd try downloading them today. (Monday, Oct 12).
The 1st design I used Firefox and logged into the website. Everything went smoothly and I could see the larger detailed picture and other designs by the artist. I then went to the software and downloaded my new purchase. It *seems* to be okay.
The 2nd design I purchased directly from the software on my computer (MacBook Pro). This purchase was also seemless and immediately appeared in my downloads and the file opened correctly.
So - so far, so good. I won't have time to do any cutting until later today, but everything appears okay and the downloading went smoothly and quickly.

This morning, when shopping from within the software, the cursor held over an image showed a larger version like it is supposed to, so it looks like they have most things working on the new site now. I am a lot happier with the new site today than I was last week.
