My husband wrote a note for me on the bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker. It wasn't a romantic sentiment, it was a reminder to take a prescription. Still, it made me smile because he's concerned about me feeling better. So, what made you smile today?

my granddaughter's best friend had a baby girl this morning... all the pictures she's posted made me smile, but especially one of my son holding the new baby... looks like he's all ready for another grandchild himself!

What made me smile today? How happy my daughter was when I dropped her and her BFF off at camp! They are going to have a great week and make so many memories!

I saw a standard Poodle being lead by a lady on a bicycle. The Poodle was wearing black boots.

My son's girlfriend surprised him w/tickets to tonite's Yankee game. I was in on her plan & when they got to the stadium, my son, who normally balks at having to text me when he gets somewhere texted me twice! Once to tease me about keeping the secret & then again w/ our code for 'I love you'.

Would you believe me if I said pretty much everything? My day was good...not particularly special, and certainly no single event that shook the world. It was just another day in the anxious household-kids, extra kids, goof ball cats...just normal, everyday stuff.
But even in it's almost boring normalcy, there was a lot of laughing and you can't beat that.

My dog and I went for a nice long run. The longest since she had her knee surgeries. We went too long and she beyond tired right now but during the run it was perfect. We ran on a bluff above the ocean...I got caught up in the moment.

Seeing my son after he has been away for a long weekend.
Going horseback riding and having the horse listen to me the whole time.

My DD19 covered my DH's car window and door with neon green post-it notes, spelling out HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD FROM ME. Inside the car, she stuck several other notes of love and an invitation to a special movie night with her.

A customer emailed me showing me the finished product of something I did for them. Then they placed another nice order.

Awww I love reading these posts! Mine is purely selfish. I am been extremely stressed so today I booked a spa weekend for next weekend. 2 nights at a nice hotel with a bunch of spa services. I am having a massage on Saturday and another on Sunday! a body scrub, body wrap, foot massage, facial and mani / pedi. All spread out over the 2 days. I'll hang out by the pool, and sit in the sauna in between. I can't wait

My co-teacher happens to be a man. We have a great professional relationship and we complement each others' teaching styles so perfectly that our teamwork is something of a legend at our school. Adults understand that we just work together, but sometimes the students assume our personal lives are as connected as our classroom lives.
Today our most artistic student came in with a piece of art she made for us over the weekend. It made everyone who saw it smile, including me. My co-teacher and I are holding hands and frolicking together - he is a baseball player (he's a HUGE sports fan) and I am a mermaid, complete with flowing hair and lovely shiny tail. The likenesses are striking (except for the mermaid tail!) and there's so much happiness in her drawing that I couldn't help but laugh every time I looked at it.

I made spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner. Spaghetti is my 8 year old's favorite food. She sat down tonight and took a bite and said "When I dream about eating spaghetti, this is what it tastes like."
She kills me.

I don't know but seeing baby seahorses today made me smile! My friend's daughter is very shy, she has Asperger's (sp) and has a difficult time making friends. She and I are getting to know one another and today I was walking alone with her and we were just talking about life and stuff...it's nice she and I can be friends. She has one close friend at school which is good but I am glad she is able to relate to someone other than just her mom. It gives her mother a break. She's like the daughter I never had!

Watching our new 75" Samsung TV. Awesome ! I literally had to do the math to see if that would even fit in my house! FYI it's 6.25 feet , so yeah, it would. That's big but somehow sounds bigger to me at 75".

That is a good dose of awesome.

DH enjoying a love song on the car radio. I wish I remember the words, I wasn't familiar with it and I think I'm still foggy due to quitting soda. But, he turned the volume up and asked if I knew who sang it. It was totally out of his normal taste range, but we had just left class where the discussion today was healthy relationships and I think both of us realized that even though we have things we need to work on, we have it pretty good compared to some of the terrible/sad experiences others spoke about. It was small, but very much a moment.

I got a phone call from a recruiter who had submitted my resume to a company last week to inform me that the company wants to schedule a phone interview, which is scheduled for Thursday. A bit later this afternoon, another person called from a different company. Unfortunately, I didn't see that she had called and left a voice mail until much later. I'll be calling her back first thing in the morning. I really need to keep the volume up on my cell phone.
My hope is to get a job by the end of July, early August at the latest.
