So glad to see that you're able to post, and glad to see your humor intact.
Hang in there, and keep walking! The more of that you can do, the more of everything you'll be able to do. So happy that you can pee in the bathroom and tell the Peas about it!

Thank you for the update. Geez, what a time you've had. I cannot imagine your tiny body filling with so much fluid and so quickly. Happy to hear you're on the mend. Before you know it you'll be back home.

So glad to hear you are up and about. What is causing the fluid retention? I hope it is something that can be controlled. Like many of the Refupeas I am the type who likes to rush in and fix things. I wish we could all journey to your neck of the woods and mother you until you are well again. In lieu of that, know that you are in my prayers and I hope you will soon be home preparing for the holiday season. The reason for the fluid retention is for lack of nourishment. Because of the Crohn's Disease I don't absorb many nutrients through my small bowel. When that tanks I get deficient in albumin which helps fluids go where they're supposed to so because of low albumin my body filled with the fluid. It was so bad that when I bent my arms liquid would seep out of my skin. Weirdest feeling ever! Right now the holdup is the price of the TPN. Seems my insurance company and rehab are hashing that out. I had heard at one time the price was +$250,000 a year for it. The good news is that it's been running for about 5 or 6 days now. The rest is in God's hands. My job is to work at getting stronger

Biggest sigh of relief over here. You've been through the wringer. How about getting tons of rest instead of tons of fluid build-up? TPN will help you regain strength, but I know it sucks to have that gourmet TPN pump. So glad you're recovering and take your time. We'll leave a light on for you.

And I'm sure you'll be up and at 'em in no time. You're a fighter, one that I admire greatly!

That sounds so scary! And I had no idea Crohn's could do that. Thanks for the lesson. I hope you get to enjoy the holiday wherever you might be at the time. Glad you are back.
