And therefore will be posting enabling threads more often than usual! If you don't want to spend money, just think about blocking me now.

Enable away. I've been awake for about 45 minutes and have made two side trips to buy candles and scrapbooking supplies from reading threads here. It's going to be a long holiday season for UPS and FedEx.

Don't forget to sign up for Ebates. It's a couple of extra coins you'll get with many retailers. The coins add up to a nice chunk of change. Last year, I received $102

There have been so many great gift ideas shared here over the years -- not to mention deal alerts. Those are some of my favorite threads. So... what have you found so far?

Arg, I HATE shopping. It's overwhelming. Looking for bracelets for my nieces, I see either ridiculously cheap ones, or very expensive ones. Not much in the middle. I might have some luck at holiday arts/crafts shows.

If you find anything for my DS' 23 year old GF, post away!!! I've finished my shopping for everyone else, but am stumped when it comes to her. (I gave her a throw for her birthday a couple of weeks ago, and she just bought herself some new gloves and stuff, so those are out).

I can drive, but I'd much rather stay home when it's cold. I'll send you a finder's fee if you find a present for my DH. I hate shopping for him, he doesn't get excited about anything.

Looking for bracelets for my nieces, I see either ridiculously cheap ones, or very expensive ones. Not much in the middle. I might have some luck at holiday arts/crafts shows. Alex and Ani bracelets are really popular right now. There is the Alex and Ani online store and the online Disney Store sells the special Disney ones. If either of you are military, they will be 30% off on Saturday at the Exchange. Do make sure you sign up for EBATES! You get extra cash back for your purchases! All the major retailers are there (WALMART, TARGET, ULTA, JCP & more!) including ETSY, EBAY, GROUPON and LIVING SOCIAL. I do My Points - it has worked well for me over the years and I'm racking up my points this season.

Amazon has a quad-copter on sale today for $48 that I bought for dh. He will have fun playing with it and wasn't a huge expense.

There have been so many great gift ideas shared here over the years -- not to mention deal alerts. Those are some of my favorite threads. So... what have you found so far? I've already bought Dukuth Trading Co flannel shirts for dh and me at that insane price last week. Then I picked up a dozen of the Kohl's throws for teachers gifts and for extended family, I also got some warm isotoner gloves at Kohl's online sale for the bus driver and attendant. Today I ordered a quad copter for dh. And last week, when Think Geek had a redeem your points for double sale, I picked up the Harry Potter Wand t.v. Remote control that he has wanted for years for FREE! It has been a good shopping year so far!

I just bought 2 sample boxes of Tarte cosmetics from Macy's for $12 with free shipping for DD and DDIL. I usually buy from their lists, so it's something extra they won't be expecting.
I bought DH a rechargeable handwarmer on Amazon. He can tuck it in a pocket.

I also appreciate the enabling! I forget about all the various deals and sales and can use the reminders. It's especially handy since I'm already on the internet reading here, so I can just open another tab and buy away.
I've found shopping online is actually better for my budget. I'm much less likely to impulse buy. I'm seeing things on amazon that I know I would throw in my cart if I were in a brick and mortar store, but I don't have the urge to deal with them in my virtual cart. Also, once something is in my cart and I'm checking out in person, I don't want to hold up lines or inconvenience anyone, so I always buy everything in my cart. Online, checkout is the time I evaluate my cart and I end up putting a lot of stuff back.
My mom can't drive right now and she's getting anxious about not being able to shop. I've been encouraging her to shop online, but she's still not quite in that mindset. She did buy all the guys in the family underwear from Duluth.

Keep the deals and gift finds coming - you guys are the best at helping me knock off some items on my list. I bought two throws and a set of flannel sheets from Kohl's. Such a deal!

I'm also going to buy online.
I am getting MIL a new housecoat from LL Bean. I know she'll like it and has had a hard time finding the ones she likes in brick and mortar stores.
My FIL loves tea and asks for more every year. I love the Harney and Son's decaf assam tea, and FIL prefers decaf. I'll get him some of that and hopefully some other teas.
I've picked up things for my nieces and nephews throughout the year.
I'm also putting together the care package that I wanted to send to our friend in Finland. I figured it would be cheaper/easier to put everything into an old travel suitcase I have and give friend the $50 extra baggage fee(or whatever, not sure which airline he's flying home on). Also if friend brings everything in himself, he won't have to pay the taxes charged to bring stuff through packages customs (from what I've read on Finnair's website/googling about Finnish customs)
Also from what I've I've read, I can send the bacon and country ham I wanted to send. I'm getting a few packages of the shelf stable Boar's Head precooked bacon. That's a huge thing that he misses from home.

Welcome to the dark side, my dear elaine. Of shopping that is. Actually it's the sane side.
The same thing happened to me after being in hospital Thanksgiving night and released in mid Dec and couldn't drive for a couple months. Kids need Christmas! Learned to shop online and found any and all ways to find free shipping and best deals. That was out of necessity, but now it's just because I found it so much easier. Lazy me wins!

Please do!! Unfortunately I am in the dead of all dead internet connections over Tday. They have nothing. It's like living in the most desolate tundra. So I can't be doing my usual online shopping after Tday.

I usually do most of my shopping online, but this year it will be all too. I severely fractured my tibia and knee (Tibial Plateau fracture) and am in a wheelchair for 6 more weeks. No driving. DH can run out and do some of the shopping.
Today Target has buy 2 games get one free on board games and free shipping. There are some good deals out there.
