Yup. I would, especially if I could trust them to go to bed on time.

It would largely depend on the kids in question. I did babysitting for a family with three young kids during the day for an entire summer when I was 14 so I wouldn't automatically dismiss the thought. But my brother left his 13 yo son in charge of his grandma with Alzheimer's for an hour or so while my brother ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things. His kid fell asleep watching videos and grandma walked right out the back door and wandered off. The cops found her two doors down at the neighbor's house, and she didn't know where she lived.

For me personally, no way.

For the kids you described? Yes! 13 and Life Scout is impressive. They sound like great kids.
