I wish I could say that this was a surprise, but it isn't. Everything tastes better with cheese.

That explains a lot! I had my gallbladder out about 3 weeks ago and while I don't remember pretty much anything from that day, I DO remember that the doctor was giving me some sort of instructions about what I could and couldn't eat and all I could hear was "no cheese" (for a few weeks). In my drugged state, I recall saying "no CHEESE?" and he gently said "I know, I like cheese too."

I know this to be true. My head and heart sincerely want to be vegan. And I've tried. But I am addicted to cheese.

I wasn't kidding when I said cheese makes just about everything taste better. I know this to be true. My head and heart sincerely want to be vegan. And I've tried. But I am addicted to cheese. Julee, I couldn't do it either. I've tried "fake" cheese, and, well, it doesn't taste like melty cheesy goodness to me.

I thought that way too until I stopped eating cheese for Lent one year. after that 40 days I had no problems not eating cheese like a mad woman.
I do eat cheese at times but I really don't eat that much cheese any more. This summer we threw a bunch of cheese out because it sat in the fridge for months and was all moldy to the point where we couldn't see that is was cheese. so now we only buy it if we are going to use it in a meal.

I am not a huge cheese eater. I am not like the rest of you who are addicted to cheese. I like cheese, I eat it but I don't "crave it" or wish I could have it every single day.
THEN I had this Stilton and I don't even LIKE Stilton, but it had mango in it. I like mango. It was at a party and I was hungry, I tried it. It is melt in your mouth sweet mango with cheese! I can't just eat the whole plate of cheese that was in front of me, can I? Whenever no one was looking I would just take a little piece. (It was crumbly like Stilton is). I had a bite here, a bite there, then everyone went to look at the BIG NEW TV.
Somehow, unbeknownst to me of course, the Stilton with the mango was gone. It was gone!!!!!I took the plate to the kitchen, washed it and dried it and left it on the counter hoping no one noticed. When you are the designated driver, you can get away with a lot more!
Everyone came upstairs and said "Let's eat dinner".

I like cheese too! How can I say no to that!? And it's just as bad for them. They just can't have a lot of it. It gives them the farts.. .. ya know.

My cat Bodhi can smell a hot bowl of macaroni from the other end of the house. He will literally beg for it, to the point he will get in my lap and pull my hand with his paw as I'm lifting the fork to my mouth. Little Bastard.

My poor dog tries her best The Force mind control on us when we eat anything cheese - the stinkier, the more urgent. '"This is not the cheese you are looking for. Give that cheese to the dog and she will dispose of it."

It would be really sad if I had to stop eating it cause it's really how I get my calcium. I'm not a big milk drinker so it's probably why I like it so much better. There isn't much of it I don't like. except maybe Brie. I'm not a huge brie or blue cheese fan.. those are probably my least favorite. Even after my stomach surgeries it didn't seem to matter too much fortunatately.

My people! I can go through a block of cheddar in a week. I always keep Muenster and Provolone slices to snack on, too.

I eat some sort of cheese daily. Nicaraguan dry cheese is like meth for me. My grandmother brings 80 lbs of that cheese whenever she travels. It lasts about maybe 6 months??? Plus American cheeses.

Guilty.
I don't drink, smoke, drink soda or coffee, don't eat meat, try to limit sugar... But if you take cheese away from me I will stab something.

I've tried "fake" cheese, and, well, it doesn't taste like melty cheesy goodness to me. That was one of my biggest fears about going vegan. I mentioned on another thread a brand I found called Daiya. I've only tried the cheddar shreds so far but OhMy! I made tofu tacos the other night and it melted perfectly and didn't taste at all plastic-y, like some other cheese fakes I've tried.

More cheese, Grommet.
Cheese oh glorious cheese, hot sausages and mustard.
When we travel it can be hard to convince dh and ds to ever want to stop in quaint little towns, so I search out cheese shops in advance because dh cannot resist. He and I both will eat any kind of cheese. Over Thanksgiving we tried some glorious, pungent cheeses. Found a great shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and a totally cute town to wander about in.

Nope, not surprised! I am absolutely, unapologetically, a cheese-aholic! I have to stop myself from eating a million mozzarella cheese sticks every day, not to mention putting cheese on everything else. I love it on everything, and I can't think of a cheese I've met and didn't like.

Oh how I love cheese! Brie, teleme, cheddar, mozzarella, Jack, blue, goat, you name it.
I have a stick of mozzarella every single day. It's delicious!

Everything tastes better with cheese. I KNOW!!! Hence the reason on the recipe thread, when someone said they halved the cream cheese in a recipe I said that I'd double it haha! I knew it! I <3 cheese more than bacon! Oooooh, BIG call ! It's very close, but I think I have to agree with you. I found a block of good old Kraft blue box cheddar in the fridge last night, and I was so excited I squealed!! Don't get me wrong, my taste in cheese is a little more sophisticated than just Kraft blue box cheddar, but I love the simplicity of it just the same.

Don't hate me too much...I don't like cheese. However, if it's addictive, that's a good thing. I already drink regular soda!
