Rocky year for our 13 yr old too and just seeing her have fun, enjoy herself and not have an attitude about things makes me happy. She plays softball and since the spring we have seen such a change in her - for the positive. It just makes us happy that she appears to be enjoying being a girl who loves softball again without all the drama that was brought on last fall. Bumps in the road but she seems to be back on track now.

With a gap of 12 years, he's really been an only child for a number of years. So, I love to watch him interact with younger children. He helps out at a local daycare and when he walks in the toddlers' faces light up. They can't wait to spend time with a "big kid".

DS (14) is just the easiest kid. He is constantly saying things like "I love our neighborhood" or "I love our house." Just the other day, we were driving down the street and he said he's "lucky" to be able to drive in a car. He's just so appreciative of everything and people are drawn to him. Just had his bday party last night and he always attracts a pack of girls that just think the world of him. He's just a great kid!
DD (17) and I have been struggling with our relationship for awhile. However, at the end of most days, we still say we love each other and she will sometimes just come and hang out with me. She's also super good with kids and is babysitting 3 year old twins (boy/girl) as we speak.

My 18yo (will be 19 in August)will be be just strolling through the house and will randomly stop, hug me & give me a peck on the cheek, and just keeps walking. I can't tell you how many times I can get choked up over that simple gesture!
