I picked up the Charming Checked table cloth today. It's lovely. I only wish the fabric was a little thicker. Lisa D. That is one of the tablecloths I am lusting after.

So I am an early bird and wake up each morning around 5. Today, as soon as I woke up, I got on walmart . com to see what was up there, and nothing is there yet! I'm going to stop at one of the larger walmart stores in my city on my way to work and see if they have anything out yet. Fingers crossed!!

UGH! I've been checking all day and I haven't seen anything on the walmart site. But, I just saw someone post on the Pioneer woman that it is up, and some things are already sold out. Wonder why I can't see any?
Workingclassdog, I'm glad you got your butter dish!!

I got the measuring bowl set for Christmas and it is SO cute. I have used them for measuring, but mostly I just use them for serving and looking at. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I need to get to our Walmart to see what's really there (I think I want a pie plate) but it's hard. Not a Walmart fan. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I didn't know about the linens. Thanks. I think.

Slight hijack: anyone have luck with her dishes? I keep hearing mixed reviews. I really like the plain blue and red ones. Love my dishes. I use them all the time and I wash them in the dishwasher and they haven't chipped or faded.

For those looking for the dishes, cookware, etc- after the initial rush to buy PW's stuff, our walmart moved everything from the large display near the front of the store to different areas of the store. The cooking pans were all in the pots and pans section, the serving dishes in that section a few aisles away, measuring cups near the baking section, etc. I think our walmart still has most of her stuff, but you have to really look for it since it's mixed in with all the other brands. Yes, this is one of my biggest pet peeves when I go to Walmart, as a marketer. Yes, there was a lovely display of her stuff when it first came out. But now, in multiple store locations that I've visited, it's in 4 locations at a minimum. Pots/pans, canisters, dishes, accessories (like butter dishes) and usually a 5th location which is the cutlery and serving spoons. Sometimes mugs are just randomly mixed with mugs - I only know it's PW b/c I know the pattern. That's a STUPID marketing plan. They should have a 'corner' for her brand, and it should have a cute display that matches her style in order to market effectively. But it HAS helped me to find the pieces I was missing b/c most people don't look all over the entire kitchen section for what they want - they look in one place, and assume that's all they have in stock. It's not - it's just laid out stupidly.

If Pioneer Woman is going to bring shoppers like me into the store (I can count on three fingers the number of times I've been inside a Walmart, and two of them were when I was traveling and had little other choice) they are nuts to piss me off by making it hard for me to find what I came for. And if they have a monopoly on PW products, they ought to be promoting them like crazy. You don't do that by watering down the brand, drizzling it around the store mixed in with every other brand. And now it will be even worse with the linens being added into the mix.

Workingclassdog, I'm glad you got your butter dish!! For whatever reason I had to type Pioneer Woman Tablecloth to get to the tablecloths. I will guess it is the same with the placemats - just pulling up "Pioneer Woman" doesn't do it.

KAS and Lucyg, I totally agree with you! I have thought from the beginning what an epic fail their marketing plan has been for PW products. I can't understand why they don't have an eye catching, permanent display of all of the products, books included. I hate the way it's all just mixed in with everything else. It just seems stupid and not very effective. Although no better than they are at keeping the PW in stock, I guess it would be a pretty light display. I just think the way they have handled the PW products all around has been very poor. Some things have not been in stock since the day it all went live on the website. I wanted a set of mugs and signed up to get an email alert when they were in stock back in the first week, and I have never gotten that email. I don't understand why they haven't tried to capitalize more on the popularity of PW and her products.
That all said, I finally did order some things last night. I followed a link that PW posted on facebook and finally saw the stuff. I bought a teal checked tablecloth, 2 packs of napkins (bandana and red flea market), and a red/teal bandana runner. OH, and a couple packs of dishtowels. It's supposed to arrive on the 17th.

I think I'm going to write a letter to their CEO and tell them their marketing plan sucks. What's the worst that happens - I don't hear anything from them? hahaha

And now it will be even worse with the linens being added into the mix. I completely agree. I went today, looking for the dish towels. Nope. A guy did say there was some PW stuff in the back, but didn't know when it would be put out. He said there wasn't a "plan" for it. I took that to mean there wasn't a spot on the shelves for it currently and it had to be fit in to the shelves. He told me to come back Saturday. No way. I live near one of the busiest shopping malls in Virginia. No Way am I going there on a Saturday. After 4 is risky. It's loud and crowded and sends me over the edge. I'll try back again next Monday or Tuesday morning.

That's a perfect example of the terrible lack of marketing. I found the email address for the guy over the Walmart US stores. I figured CEO was higher than what I needed. LOL I kept it professional and complimented the line...just explained why I think the marketing and merchandising has been done poorly. And pointed out that I am their demo and that some friends (aka y'all!) who are 'conquest' customers (those that do not typically shop at Walmart so you would be new business for them, which is key #1 to a retailers growth & success!) agree. We'll see if anybody responds. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

I did stop at a store today to see what they had. Not my usual store b/c I'm on a work trip. They only had the dish towels out. But they had a dinner plate I wanted but hadn't found locally.
They do have a big area in the linens set for it. An employee said they reset everything for it yesterday. But she doesn't know when it is coming. Maybe on a truck tonight.
Maybe their trucking schedules are the issue. Who knows. They should be advertising a nationwide 'launch day' to create demand. Like Target does with their special collections!

Well, I will give them credit. I already got a response from the 'VP of Cook & Dine' I don't know how to post a photo from my phone, but here's a copy and paste of his email: ---------- Thank you for reaching out to us and for your support of our Pioneer Woman product. Outside of the initial product launch, where we pulled nearly the entire line together towards the front of the department, we continue to merchandise items by category regardless of brand. The space at the front of the department, used for the initial launch, will be utilized on future occasions to present Pioneer Woman seasonal product together during the Harvest and Holiday seasons. In the meantime, we will continue to evaluate how to provide the best customer shopper experience, including signing, and the option of pulling together all categories of Pioneer Woman to make brand shop. Thanks again for your support of Walmart and our Pioneer Woman line. -------- While I don't love his answer, I do appreciate the quick personal response! Maybe it will at least make them think. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

The linens were just released Thursday? Friday?, so that's why many haven't seen them. The military exchange online seems to have the entire previous collection. As for the mercantile and deli, that's slated to open in the fall. She just did a blog post on it. I'll try to remember to put the link here when I get home. ETA: Here's the most recent update on the Building, scentcrazyThank you basketlady!

I got the tablecloth with flowers all over it and the blue checked tablecloth. I love them. They had a good amount at that Walmart but the other Walmart local to me had nothing.
I wanted some PW kitchen towels also but I got a Ninja blender and couldn't justify buying more stuff for me all at once. Maybe next time.
