I am serving a full turkey dinner and am stuck on what to serve for dessert.
Thinking of lemon cupcakes or lemon roll or lemon cheesecake & serving with fresh berries.
There are nut allergies, so no nuts.
Maybe Pavlova or meringue with fruit or Creme Brule.
What are you making.?

I'm making a banana cake (from scratch) which is amazing. But my dd is bringing it to her future in-laws on Saturday. My two sons will not be home, so dd and her fiancé will join us for dinner and I'm trying to think of something light to make. I will probably buy an angel food cake and serve it with mixed berries. I then mix low-fat coolwhip with light raspberry yogurt and top it with that. Yummy and very lowfat.

I'm lame. I ordered a butter braid from a friend for her son's baseball team. It's supposed to be delivered either Friday or Saturday. I'm going to bake it Sunday morning. I also got some break and bake cookies.

Coconut Cake - I use Paula Deen's recipe - it is sooo good and to me it just isn't Easter without a Coconut Cake

I'm making a hummingbird cake. I've heard about it for years but have never had one so I'm taking the plunge. Thankfully my sister is also bringing a dessert so if my cake is a flop there will be another option.

I'm doing lemon cupcakes with coconut buttercream frosting, decorated with green dyed coconut flakes and robin egg candies.

Dd requested tiramisu. I am also looking at recipes for lemony things and berry things because they seem appropriate for Easter. Up thread someone mentioned an angel food cake -- sometimes I do an angel foods cake iced with whipped cream mixed with pistachio pudding. OMG, it's addictive!

I did my part to support local business and ordered two pies from a small, family owned bakery in our neighborhood. I couldn't decide on which flavor, so I went with Mixed Berry and Chocolate Cream.

I am going to get cookies from a really good local bakery. I am going to try to resist their poured chocolate cake while I am there. I'll have to let you know how that works out!

I am trying to decide between a vanilla cake topped with Cadbury mini eggs that I saw on Inspired by Charm a few weeks ago (a lovely showstopper, kids would be thrilled) and a coconut-lime cake on Epicurious that doesn't have the same wow factor but looks delicious. Also need to consider something for my GFDF in-law to eat. Oh, and lots and lots of candy.

I'm also doing a Pavlova with sliced berries and kiwis and whipped cream. It's a spectacular light dessert that goes so well with a spring meal.

I'm making a bunny shaped pound cake. I have a shaped pan but I've seen it made with round cakes cut up as well.

Carrot Cake!
I'm not putting nuts (thanks to my FIL) in it.
He's not allergic, just doesn't like them and would much rather annoy us by spitting them out very loudly onto his plate if he eats something with them in it.
I choose to avoid the annoyance (and disgust) so the cake will be nut free!

We're bringing mini lemon cheesecakes with a dab of lemon curd on top and lemon madeleines to my family's Easter celebration.

Oooh, I love the idea of a pavlova, but I can never get any kind of meringue right in our humidity. It either ends up sweaty or chewy - gross, either way.
Maybe a lemon cheesecake. Or a small carrot cake. The recipe I usually make for carrot cake feeds a platoon, and it's going to just be the four of us.

Individual mini Black Forest trifles. Just love all those cherries and cream! Have you thought of serving your mini trifles in small, wide mouth glass canning jars? They would look so pretty.

AKathy's recipe for her easy carrot bars. I usually cut the recipe in half but may make a whole one depending how many are expected. I love this easy recipe and think of and thank AKathy everytime I make it.

Am I the only one who will be eating Easter candy for dessert? Really? Who needs more dessert in the house when you have a crapton of assorted chocolate around? FWIW, my sister is visiting this week and she made the recipe I had sitting out for Carmelitas... Yum! The pan is already half gone.

I have purchased these for a fundraiser. If it is the same company, they are excellent!!
