If all this is true, then Trump should be talking about telling on Cruz, not telling what he knows on Mrs. Cruz. I really don't think Trump has a single leg to stand on where it comes to these kinds of issues... *coughcoughmarlamaplescough*, lol.

With 5 women already alleging affairs with this guy, I hate to say that I have to think there is some kernel of truth in there. Were it only 1 person, it would be more suspect, but 5??? I am consistently flabbergasted at the level of arrogance politicians have to engage in questionable moral behavior and then think that it won't ever uncovered or brought up. It's bad enough that they do these things but then their families have to deal with the fallout in the public eye. Selfish, arrogant, idiots. The women aren't alleging the affairs. The National Enquirer is.

There will always be women who are willing to sleep with a man they perceive as wealthy or powerful. I am no Ted Cruz fan and I find him a little creepy, but he has a pretty and intelligent wife. Clearly, she found him attractive. I was a big fan of President Clinton as president, but I never understood why women found him so attractive. However, my SIL, who really disliked him, met him in person and said he was the most charismatic person she ever met and she finally got the attraction thing with him. I don't care who a politician sleeps with. I might think they are a pig in their personal life but it doesn't always effect my voting. An exception was John Edwards because his wife was dying of cancer. I wouldn't be voting for Cruz, but if I was, this might make me think he is a hypocrite, but it wouldn't be a deciding factor for me.

Scroll down the article on the second link that was posted. It shows a double page spread of The National Enquirer. It has 5 women's faces and 2 are no longer blurred. It's the tabloid making the allegations. ETA: nevermind, I see the explanation above.

1st, while I wouldn't go near him with someone else's vajayjay, I don't care who he is sleeping with. If I thought he would make a good president, an affair wouldn't keep me from voting for him. However, if it is true, he is an idiot. Affairs rarely stay secret and he had to know it would come out in the primaries or in the general election. That's just too much good ole american dirt to stay buried. In general, I do not care about who anyone is sleeping with. What I cannot stand is hypocrisy. Ted Cruz is very anti-gay marriage – because it will destroy the sanctity of marriage. Right? Well… I think having affairs with multiple women probably does a little more damage to the sanctity of marriage. This is exactly it! I cannot stand when one preaches the sanctity of marriage, anti-gay, etc., but they will drop their drawers in a heartbeat and cheat on their wives. Assholes.

Well he cheated but at least his wife doesn't have cancer! I also can't give Cruz a pass when in every speech and ad, there is always a mention of God. He is a giant hypocrite. I don't think *any* Republican will win this election. I have no doubts this will not detract the Trump and Cruz fans either. Hillary has a lot more going for her than those two.

We have been surprised before, but really---Ted Cruz? OTOH, Trump keeps attracting women and I would not want to snuggle up to him either. Oh my god I just sprayed my drink all over our office--laughing so hard about Trump and snuggly!

The thing is, looking back at history, a lot of our best presidents had affairs. In our lifetimes, one of the only ones not known to have affairs was Jimmy Carter and he was a terrible president. If Ted Cruz had affairs and his wife is willing to overlook it, then that is on them. Again, I wouldn't vote for him in any case, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I were a supporter. In this election, no one is going to be able to throw around affair allegations so it is useless info. If evangelicals have a problem with it, their next choice is Trump who certainly is no better.

The article says that Katrina Pierson is one of the woman to have allegedly have had an affair with Senator Cruz. If that is the case, I would very politely suggest that they can have each other. She is a rabid and vile spokesperson (in my opinion) for Mr. Trump that has been consistently denied every single thing that Mr. Trump has said or has twisted it to the point that it is so unrecognizable that you don't even understand her point. More than once I have all but shouted at the television when she has been on the talk shows because she makes no damn sense.

Ted Cruz is just creepy. Who exactly would hit that? A ghoul who goes on national TV proudly sportin' a necklace made out of large-caliber bullets?

I agree. If you're going to campaign on the high ground, you'd better live there. Hillary proclaims that sexual assault victims deserved to be believed and yet she's participated in discrediting and trashing the ones victimized by her husband. She's laughed and bragged about getting around the system to excuse the guy who raped and brutalized a 12 year old. That one goes beyond hypocrisy though and moves on into evil, in my opinion.

If someone like Trump, who is an asshole at best, was found to have cheated, it would not affect my opinion on him as President. He's not hiding who he is at all (which is the best possible thing to be said for him). Cruz is shouting from the rooftops about the country's morals and who should decide what they should be (no, you cannot have an abortion, no you cannot marry your same sex partner) and THAT is why he deserves to go down. I remember Newt Gingrich all over Clinton, who no one thought was moral and upright, and heading the cry for impeachment, and it turned out he was cheating on his current wife. Ugh. That exactly is what I hate. Hypocrisy.

Two things that Newt Gingrich was not guilty of.

That makes more of the presidents in my lifetime who have not cheated.

The more I watch about this on cable news, the more I'm convinced that Donald Trump had something to do with the story and that there is absolutely no truth to it.

Can any of these guys keep in in their pants? That was my first thought when reading this, it seems to cut across all party lines. It's like there is some universal check list out there, "did I have affair/affairs?", if "yes" please file paperwork to run for elected office. Many years ago, I read an article that quoted several professionals in psychology, purporting that the same personality that is attracted to the power of the presidency is often - no, not always - the same personality that is attracted to sexual power, achieved through serial conquests. Makes sense. I find adultery icky, but not a deal breaker. But as others have written, it's galling when the candidate is simultaneously judging the sex/reproductive lives of the rest of us.

Reagan may not have cheated on Nancy, but he Jane Wyman was married when he began his relationship with her. I don't think so. It is said that she cheated on and left him, and there are lots of reports that he was quite upset over it all. She filed for divorce in 1948 (finalized in 1949) and he met Nancy in November of 1949. He may have known Nancy then, but I don't think there was any cheating involved.
