No one has told me about any dinners or plans within the family for tomorrow and that's ok with me. I want to just have a quiet and relaxing day at home.

We aren't doing much. I might mow the lawn with my sparkling new lawn mower if the rain holds off. That's about as exciting as it gets.

Looking at houses for a few hours then back we go (unless we put in an offer). Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow!!!! Really hope we find/buy a house soon

DS has a hockey game at 1 which takes up from 11:30 to 2. DD works and then has hockey at 7 which really means 5 to 8:30. So even if I wanted to not much time. I did small Easter baskets, am making French toast bacon and sausage for breakfast and tomorrow we are having our big dinner of steak and shrimp. HUGS shescrafty and Delta Dawn

We don't have much either. Our parents are out of town and we recently saw them all. Siblings in town had other plans which is fine.
We booked a nice reservation for brunch and are looking forward to a day home. DH has a project, I'm hoping to craft and our little one is a homebody and will love it. We have a swimming pass for a local hotel and could go there later if we need an activity.

Not us. Usually we do a huge gathering with our close friends and parents/grandparents/cousins and it is a good time. But with Phoebe passing just a month ago we could not bear the idea of even being at home. Friends of ours let us use their beach condo that is 2 hours away and we are here now. I did get my son an Orioles coin bank (that kid leaves likes of coins all around his room and it makes me nutty! Lol) and filled it with candy so he will have something fun. This is our first real holiday without her and it just hurts so much. I hope your family can relax and enjoy the condo. What a sweet gesture from your friends.

Things have changed over the last several years and it's not as big a to do as before. But we were supposed to go to a charity lunch and then we are having an early dinner here with my mom, niece, fil, 2 sils (1 bil) and mil. But I think dd has strep (taking her this morning). So no charity lunch and giving the in laws the option of coming or not. So not sure still what will happen.

I am actually not even going to church today. I can hardly bear the idea of s big crowded place full of noise and people so we are listening to hymns on Pandora and getting ready to go out to do some gardening.

Nothing, not a holiday for me. Was going to go clothes shopping but forgot it was a holiday for some and apparently the stores are closed. Glad to see retail people get a break. Guess I will do the taxes, yuck.

Not us. Our oldest son is at college; we just got done spending a few days with him for an early Easter. I work today and don't want to deal with going to my brother's house for dinner. We will just have a regular meal for dinner. May do an delayed Easter dinner when our son is home in a few weeks for an orthodontist appointment.

We have minimized the holidayness of Easter over the years. As Christians, we observe it and love what the day represents in our faith, but we have toned down the celebration part. We go to Good Friday and Easter services (although we did Easter last night). My husband works at our church so he's there for all seven services over the weekend. Then we just go out to eat later in the afternoon. There's just three of us and we don't love the traditional Easter dinner. With my husband gone most of the weekend, we don't visit family.
I actually like it this way. It's relaxing and we might work in the yard a bit. And we can use a holiday that we don't turn into something huge and commercial. Although I still hide eggs with candy in the house for my daughter to find and have other candy in a basket for her. Because we like that part too. We just don't overdo it like we used to.

We don't attend church and don't have kids, so Easter if often just another Sunday for us. We have been invited to large gathering at a friend's house, but we are still trying to decide if we will go. With a very busy week upcoming for both of us, staying home seems the ticket.

Driving DS back to college. I didn't even plan breakfast or brunch. The poor boy didn't even get any Easter candy this year. DD was on vacation with friends and she is returning home today.

Hugs shescrafty and Delta Dawn I hope you both can find a little peace today. And for those not feeling well (sadly it seems like there are quite a few!) I hope all of you find a little rest and relief! Holidays are less fun when you're suffering in any way. We're not doing much of anything today either. I'm relieved that there's nowhere we need to be today. We took DD to our neighborhood egg hunt yesterday and that was fun. Did the whole Easter basket thing this morning at home, but otherwise I'm still laying low after having surgery a week and a half ago. Thankfully I'm at the point of OTC pain relief and ice packs which is nice, I can deal with that. Other than that it will be pretty much like any other Sunday here, none of us are even dressed yet.

I wish we didn't. We had Easter dinner with his family yesterday. I was fine until 10 mins before we had to go. Then I got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. I do not want to do this without him. I have never ever thought this before but I found myself thinking, it's a good thing I don't drink because if I did I would be getting drunk. I survived. Fell asleep halfway through.
Church this morning was good but I started crying during worship and went to step out. I almost made it to the door and was surrounded by a few friends who engulfed me in a huge hug. We worshipped together through tears. Then I went back to sit for the rest of the service. I felt so bad for the pastor. My kids wanted to go to early service but by the time we got there the only seats left were front and center. And I had an empty seat next to me. I realized halfway through how hard the empty seat must have been for him.
We are going to lunch and movie with sil and family this afternoon.

We are making a nice dinner, and the Easter Bunny came for the kids, but that's about it. I need a down day. We are not religious, so no church here. I've actually spent the morning cleaning everyone's crap out of the breezeway. I'm determined to turn it into a nice den space for ME.

Not much - cleaning the house and some yard work while we have a bit of sun. We gave the kids some See's Easter candy boxes, and I have a ham for dinner, but that's about it. The kids had a school carnival last night so we didn't even do eggs, which no one seems to be missing . We're no longer Christian, so it's not a religious day for us.
