My dd belongs to a troupe that does shows at our local Fairytale Town. Her last show was Sleeping Beauty and she played Aurora. At first they were having a really hard time finding a Prince Phillip, even having the first kid drop out of the show before it started. They did finally find someone and the show went on the last couple of weekends after a month of rehearsals and it went great. Sunday was Maggie's last show. She asked me if I could give Prince Phillip a ride home because he lives in our neighborhood. When he was in the car I asked him what street he lived on, and he said our street, then I asked which house? The house right next door to ours! Neither one of them had any idea they lived next door to each other! He lives in the house with the annoying dog..lol. We are pretty proud of her, not only did she play Briar Rose, she was also the vocal director for the show. The Prince & Aurora Maggie singing "Once Upon a Dream"

Congratulations to your dd!
I have to admit that I wouldn't recognize the two boys that live behind us. I've seen them maybe 6-7 times since they moved in about 5 years ago and all 5 times were when they were playing football on my lawn. That stopped a few years ago after they started to move things on my lawn to play. That was a thread on the 'ole 2 peas NSBR board.

That is wild that they are next door neighbors and didn't know it.
PS: She looks beautiful as Aurora!

That is funny.
I think in today's world of two working parents and daycare, we don't always see the neighborhood kids as much.

At least it has only been a few months.
On the old boards, I once posted my saga with this elderly man who was sitting on a bench on my back patio in my yard. We live on 4 acres, no sidewalks, adjacent to 150+ acres of preserve land. Very unusual to have someone suddenly show up (as in never). Scared the living daylights out of me as I was home alone. It was the day after Sandy Hook School shooting in CT so I was a little on edge and called the police. The man was gone with the police got here. They left and the man came back. I called them again and they got here before the man left and questioned him. It turned out he is my next door neighbor!!! We have lived here for something like 12 years. Never met him. He lives on the other side of the 150 acres of preserved land. Runs a small dog rescue. I've met his employees and volunteers in the past when a dog has run away, but this was the first time he ever came after a dog, which is why he was sitting in my yard... he was watching to see if the dog would appear out of the woods. A little embarrassing that I called the police for a trespasser who was just my next door neighbor.

Lovely. I found myself captivated by the puppets at the side of the stage.
Good job you didn't mention the annoying dog before you worked out where he lived!

She's been in the troupe since she was 8 and she's now 15. She's done a lot of fun shows there. It's her home away from home.

Lovely. I found myself captivated by the puppets at the side of the stage. Good job you didn't mention the annoying dog before you worked out where he lived! Thank you. Maggie said the kids were always so excited about the puppets that she didn't think anyone was listening to her sing..lol. That's funny about the dog, can you imagine! It's a tiny ball of fluff with a very strange, consistent bark. He sometimes crawls under the fence and hangs out in our yard, but our dog chases him out. We called him Travis, because dd thinks he looks like some kid named Travis. Prince Phillip told us his real name. Jizzy.

That's funny not knowing he lived next door Lovely photo of Maggie and thanks for sharing the video. She has a lovely voice. I like watching children/young adults developing their confidence and having an interest in something other than computer games. Way to go Maggie
