Starts new this wkend, right??!! so I've been thinking about subscribing. We have direct tv. My friend has apple tv, and she can get it for 8.95 on there! I looked and direct is 13.95!! ugh. So has anyone heard what the schedule is going to be? Is it going to be like last time, where they had how many shows, and they they took like a 4 month break, wasn't it?

I added Showtime to our Directv plan last year for Outlander and never remembered to cancel it, so I'm all set. The first season has been on constantly for the last week or so, so I recorded them again and watched some of them again. I can't wait!

We got rid of all of our movie channels since the last season aired. You can add a monthly Starz subscription on Amazon for $8.99 a month. I'm going to do that after spring term is done in May and just binge watch it. It shows episodes through May 28 and then lists 5 more episodes without dates.

Oh!! I didn't know that about amazon!! Where can you find that??? Under the Amazon Video menu there's an add on subscription section. There's also Showtime and a few others you can add.

Have you used it Andrea? I see lots of bad reviews. That you still need to have cable, etc? or has it improved.

My understanding is 13 shows and no break (last season was 16 episodes). They are going to really have to cut out a lot to get it in 13, but all the previews look amazing. I can't wait!!

I'm so happy to hear that there isn't going to be a big break in the middle of the season!

No! Only 13 shows? No way! I could have sworn that it was another season of 16 shows. Rats.
If you get the app, it's 8.99 a month. It must work like HBO Now. That's how we watched Game of Thrones last year. I just subscribed for a month or two and then canceled it because we just don't watch a lot of TV. I think episode 1 is already up on the app.

Here's is a list of each of the episode titles. m.imdb.com/title/tt3006802/episodes?season=2***i am a little nervous that no dates are given after the 8th episode. If those rat bastard schedulers at STARZ make us wait again-mutiny I tell you!!! I saw an article the other day about how they decided to add a 14th episode that focused on Brianna and Roger and I squealed only to read at the bottom of the article that it was an April Fools joke. Boo! This is a quote from Ronald Moore regarding a season break, "You could theoretically broadcast it in two pieces because they are almost standalone sections, but right now the intention is probably to show them straight through," Moore said, according to Zap2It." This was from several months ago so hopefully things have not changed.

Starz also just added a stand alone app -- I want to say it's $10/month or something. You don't have to have cable or anything else, it's just access to Starz. Of course, you have to watch on your computer unless you have a smart TV, but I think it was smart of them to come out with this additional option for people.

Yea, that is what I want, just the starz add on for those months. And I can watch it on my computer?? The one I have seen says apple device, like ipad, iphone or apple tv. All I have is an iphone, and I don't want to watch on there!! So I'm hoping I can subscribe and watch on my computer!!
I so hope we don't have that big break like last yr!!

From everything ive read I don't think there will be a break, but you never know!
I used the Amazon Prime add on for a couple of months without any problems, but I do have the Apple TV box thingie.
I saw somewhere where the first episode is available today if you have the starz app. I imagine there has been a rush on the app, if that's true!!
I'll be waiting until Saturday night, since Black Sails and Outlander are kind of the "date" show for DH and I to sit and watch together.

Well can I just say that Comcast/xfinity suck! The Starz play app which I used to get and use no problem is no longer supported by Comcast/xfinity. And yes, the first episode is up and yes, I was totally going to hunker down and watch it today and now I'm not. Wah wah wah

And yes, the first episode is up and yes, I was totally going to hunker down and watch it today and now I'm not. Wah wah wah I think this may be because of the change in the app. I'll bet that it's temporary (which I know doesn't help you right now). The new app combines Starz, Encore and something else -- it's broader than what was included in Starz Play. But if you look at info about the new app, it says that current cable subscribers with Starz can get it free (just like they had Starz Play). I think that the transition is taking some time, and that's the real issue. I can't imagine Comcast/Xfinity not supporting this app.
And there is definitely no break in the season this time.

I just downloaded and paid for the starz app. All excited to ignore work and I can't find it. Hopefully it will show up soon, I am going through massive withdrawals.

I spoke to customer service and when they combined with Encore and created a new app they could not come to an agreement with Comcast and without me even saying why she's says"that's a bummer because I know our customers want to watch Outlander early" BUT That's all water under the bridge because it's available now on the Xfinity app (it wasn't last year) so shhhh, y'all I'm about to get sucked into something I've waited 8 months to watch.

Okay I will not post spoilers till Saturday, but the first episode did not disappoint. All these months wondering how would they tell the story, would it be sequentially or as it it done in the book and all I can say is right, they did it right. It will likely not be my favorite episode of the season because like episode 1 of season 1, it just sets it up for the story to be told. And from all the previews, what a story it will be. I will definitely be watching this episode again.

Oh and this is not really about the show so I guess it's not really a spoiler, but I put this as a spoiler just in case The opening song...I love how they changed it up for this season. I mean I loved the old song, but just this small change was a nice nod to their setting. I suppose this is what makes Outlander so head and shoulders above other shows, but just that attention to detail in every aspect of the show is amazing.

I got 10 minutes into the first episode and then life got in the way. Anxiously awaiting the boys to go to bed so I can finish it.
And I totally agree with the non-show spoiler that was posted above. LOVE IT!!!!!

It was fantastic. I will watch again when it's on the TV, as my computer was a little wonky with the playback but it was WORTH IT. So so good. I am constantly impressed by how Sam Heughan just transforms into Jaime on screen. And I also wondered how they were going to adapt the beginning of the book for the show, and I think they did a really good job.

Maybe I need to preview the episode BEFORE watching with DH. I have a feeling I'll want to watch it more than once anyway!

I watched it on my lunch today. I'll probably watch it again on my lunch tomorrow. And then watch it on my tv on Saturday when it airs there. I thought it was really good. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

It was fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. Because now you the only other person who has watched it-did you like the first half or second half better? I thought the first fifteen minutes were excellent, then it dragged a little (for me), but the last 25 minutes--there's my story!
