Also, I wanted to add that my Mom also collected vintage Easter postcards... and she passed them on to me when she passed away. She had one or two of the same ones you have but you have a larger variety from different time periods. Hers are mostly from the 40s and 50s. I especially love the pink embossed one on your blog. It's spectacular!

That is sad you have to have all your collections in storage. I am happy you got to have your stuff in their photo shoot.
Beautiful books.

Still perusing your blog - I used to collect chairs too. Sadly, when we downsized to move, all of my fun small collections went bye-bye

Love, love, love your collection! I'm really old so I actually used some of those books when I was in grade school. And the globes are to die for. I have one, my old globe from when I was a kid. The countries all have new names now, ha. I also have a handful of New Music Horizons. I picked them up years ago when I was learning to play the piano.
Glad your loan turned out to be a positive experience.

Love the books from the 1950's!
I have a collection of school books from the early 1900's-1910's. They were my grandfather's.

Thanks everyone for such kind comments! I'm looking forward to seeing the Country Living issue, but I'm sure my books will just be a tiny part of the props they used in the photo shoot. I'm just glad to have had a tiny part in the magazine feature.

That is awesome! I have a friend who I go to flea markets with and she has been searching for a Dick & Jane book for years. We never see them for sale.

I have a friend with a vintage book store - those are great finds! So cool that your stuff is getting well-deserved attention!

That is awesome! I have a friend who I go to flea markets with and she has been searching for a Dick & Jane book for years. We never see them for sale. My experience is that the Dick and Jane books fetch much higher prices than other vintage readers. They are indeed hard to find, I'm so pleased that I have nearly 2 complete sets- one set is from the 40s, the other from the 50s.
