WW made me think about food all day. Pre planning. Eating on track. How many points do I have left etc.
I currently doing Seattle Suttons. It's expensive (129.00) a week. But I don't need to think. I'm down 17 pounds in 30 days. It's making me realize portion control is key. So when I get off it I will be used to what works.

It works, but it wasn't for me. I couldn't handle the meetings and tracking everything was cumbersome and made me feel deprived. I do much better when I focus on eating real food and pay attention to actual hunger. I found myself while on WW thinking I only had X points left for the day. At meetings people would share about their fake foods or how they got use their points on something delicious and decadent. Because I never had more than the lowest # of points available it was hard hearing about the big losses after eating treats that couldn't have. It isn't the easiest plan to follow if you don't have a lot to lose. This is how the old plan worked. I didn't like the meetings because it was always about how to cheat. The new system takes into consideration all the sugar we eat and you pay for it in points. It is very hard to cheat on this system without maxing out your points really quickly. I joined Jan 10 and I am down 20 pounds. I only have 10 more to go. I have to say that it really has helped with making good choices over the quick ones. I did work with a nutritionist years and years ago before I got pregnant with my dd and both combined have helped immensely.

So when I get off it I will be used to what works. ^^^ it was like that for me, too... too much calculating and obsessing over everything. The one time I made it to goal (about 15 years ago), I felt like the plan was too focused on losing and there wasn't any support for maintainers at all. The last time I tried it was a couple years ago which was before the latest plan change, so I don't know anything about the current plan. After trying WW so many times and not getting anywhere with it, even though it had worked that one time for me in the past, I finally found a different weight loss method that works better for me, too... the medically assisted plan I'm doing just fits better with my current lifestyle, physical, and mental needs. WW might work for a lot of people, but if it doesn't work for you, that doesn't mean you did something wrong-- it just means it's not the right plan for you and your lifestyle. The only thing you can do is find a meeting to visit, or check it out online, and see.

I have had success on Atkins whenever I do it. The problem is I never feel full. I always feel one spaghetti meal from being satiated. This is an issue for me and it may always be one. One WW do you feel full? Yes I do. I feel that all the lean protein being so low in points helps me choose foods that are more filling and more nutritious. I end up have LOTS of leftover points at the end of the day (I'm on the higher end of points' allowance so take that with a grain of salt) and I DO NOT feel deprived or starving...ever!Do you still crave sugar? Sometimes...usually around that time of the month. You CAN have sugar; it's just going to cost you a lot of your points' allowance. I kinda kicks you in the behind and you're "forced" to make better, nutritious choices if you actually want to have anything of substance that will keep you full. I like that part of Atkins where you don't crave anything. That is a nice feeling knowing you don't miss ice cream or cake or bread. I don't crave any of those things 80% of the time. If I do, I know I can have them. Maybe not all at once or in the quantities I might like, but NOTHING is off limits. When you do WW do you get enough to eat? I never feel like I don't have enough to eat. I really haven't changed a lot of the types of foods I eat; more the quantities and ditching a lot of the added sugars that I'd found a way to convince myself I needed/wanted. Be aware though that your points' allowance will change as you lose weight--it will go down, but it will be gradual until you get to the max of 30 smart points per day. What happens if you go over your points? Does the world end? Do you put on weight? I was always able to eat under my carbs because I just couldn't eat another piece of broccoli or another bite of steak, but I was still hungry. Nothing "bad" happens if you go over your points. Just like nothing "bad" happens if you eat more calories in a day than allotted. WW has additional weekly points you can use if you know you'll be eating out and will need more points to get through the meal or there's a special occasion. You get an amount based on your weight for the week. Those points can decrease as you lose weight, but they are there for when/if you need them. You can also earn fit points--for working out. I personally don't use them because I don't lose if I do, but they are there to help supplement your day if needed. You won't starve unless you make some poor decisions. You might gain weight, but just like following a calorie restricted diet, if you go over you could also gain weight. Advice? My advice above in red.

Agree with you missfrenchjessica! I think with the "old" WW my answers would be different but the new WW is amazing!
