I love this thread! The Winter People - Jennifer Mcmahon (not my favorite book, but about time travel) The Firebird - Susanna Kearsley (semi-time travel, good book) The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley is also a good time travel book. Thanks hennybutton I'm going to check that out, I loved The Firebird (art and time travel, doesn't really get much better than that for me).

If you've got a kid into time travel, The Chronicles of Chrestomanci books are a lot of fun. (Of course, they are fun for adults who still read the occasional kid book too.)

Another one is THE FIRST FIFTEEN LIVES OF HARRY AUGUST by Claire North. I haven't read it yet, but it's on my list. I've read this one this year, too. Not so much time-travel, as he relives his life over and over (but knowing this, so differently each time). I liked the story, but skimmed quite a bit of the science stuff.

One of my all-time favorite books is " Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus" by Orson Scott Card. Utterly fantastic.

This is so wonderful! I had no idea when I started this thread that there would be so many books mentioned that I hadn't read yet or heard of. I'm adding them to my "To Read" list on goodreads.com and I'm thrilled to have so many new books to read about Time Travel thanks to all of you. Thanks so much! I think time travel is my favorite topic to read about, and then historical fiction is my favorite genre.

fire watch is a collection of Willis' short stories. I enjoyed it as well. I really wish she'd write another book, but she is 70, so I assume she is enjoying retirement. She and I graduated from the same univesity (although the name changed) You're in luck! I just read on facebook that she's written another novel that will be out soon. I have been waiting anxiously too since the last novel from Connie Willis was "All Clear". She did publish that collection of short stories, but I'm pretty sure most of those were previously published, am I right? I don't really care for short stories that much. I much prefer novels myself. I had no idea she was 70 years old. I guess we are both (and her many other fans) very lucky to have a new book to look forward to. Okay, I just checked Amazon and found it-it's called "Crosstalk" and it's coming out October 4, 2016. They have a description listed and sadly (to me) it doesn't sound like a time travel book. But, it's Connie Willis and that to me is enough for me to buy it. Debbie in MD.

I highly recommend the Book of Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness. The first book is titled A Discovery of Witches, the second is Shadow of Night and I believe the third one is Book of Life.

Time of my Life by Allison Winn Scott is a short novel I downloaded free off Amazon. It's a quick read with an interesting concept... A do-over of her own life with unexpected results. I enjoyed it.
