I recently discovered fruit and chili powder. Specifically, cantaloupe and chili powder and also jicama and chili powder. What odd combinations of food do you love?

I like potato chips and cottage cheese. I used to use the chips with ridges, but now it's the kettle chips and cottage chees. Yum!

Nothing too odd now, but when I was pregnant with DS I craved (I mean REALLY craved) cranberry juice and creamed herring. Yes, together.

Mustard on a roast beef sandwich. I never knew it was odd until a friend looked at me funny -- until she tried it. Now she thinks I'm a genius!

pb&j with Cheetos puffs My dh just found this great challah bread at Harris Teeter, and it's great for pb&j I eat this with milk I sometimes dip the puff in milk
I really like cream of mushroom soup mixed with sour cream (about half and half) put on chicken and baked. It's good with some bacon. I know it's not very gourmet, but I love it.
I like plain cheesecake with cherry sauce and cocktail peanuts
I'm more of a different textures person--crispy and creamy puffy and chewy etc The texture of a food matters as much as flavour
I don't really like pancakes or waffles without bacon or sausage The sweet with the meaty saltiness is so good. Obviously people understand this because there's so much bacon candy
I like chocolate and spicy peppers I'm not a spicy person, but chocolate with spice is so good--it makes the chocolate taste stronger
I'm also particular about the texture of chocolate--I like the taste of Cadbury's but I don't like the consistency--I don't like waxy chocolate. I think that's why I like dark chocolate so much--the texture is so nice and snappy.

I can't eat salsa without some sugar in it or sweet n low.
Cheez-It crackers and vanilla ice cream.
When I eat a PB&J (strawberry jelly only) sandwich I have to have cheese flavor Doritos with it. I normally never eat chips but I have to when I eat PBJ.
Sugar in my cooked cabbage.
Ham, cream cheese and a pickle rolled up.
Hot sauce on green beans.

I like chocolate and spicy peppers Chocolate with a little heat is yummy. I love when you can taste the heat at the back of your throat after you eat the spicy chocolate.

When we go to Chipotle (or Chili's or any other place that has fresh corn chips) I always get an extra bag of chips. I love to eat them for breakfast with my (black) coffee. Something about the bold coffee and the salty chips that makes me happy. And it's not the same with store bought chips.

I have this thing for fried potatoes with Italian salad dressing. It sounds so gross, but I like it. And cotton candy with buttered popcorn.

Sauerkraut on combo pizza at Costco. One of the guys working there told me about it when I said I just order the hot dog because I like sauerkraut. It's actually really good if you like sauerkraut.

I put peanut butter on celery for a snack. I also put peanut butter on apples but that may not be too unusual.

I love sandwiches made with Sweet Lebanon Bologna (Summersausage) with Miracle Whip on one side of the meat and strawberry jam on the other. PB on radishes is wonderful, it tames out the "bite". DD slices them into rounds and stacks them with PB between like oreos. She would take them to work and by the end of lunch all her co workers would be eating them. My sister loves potatoe chips smeared with mayo and a slice of americann cheese on top.

KD (has to be KD or PC brand), with Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco...
Any kind of mac and cheese with kimchi...
Canned sliced mushrooms with spicy Thai tuna...
Cheese and cucumber or carrot, and vanilla ice cream with sliced banana and cinnamon, but I don't think they're that weird...

Cottage cheese with red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar. Cottage cheese with ruffles OR Doritos. Egg white sandwich with cheese, ketchup and mayo on toast. Mac and cheese dipped in ketchup. Grilled cheese dipped in ketchup. Potato chips dipped in ketchup. French fries dipped in mayo. Grilled cheese with sliced pickle spears in the sandwich (NOT pickle slices/hamburger chips!!!). Vinegar in my cooked cabbage, sauerkraut and spinach. Tarter sauce with fried shrimp (never cocktail sauce). Sliced pickle sandwich: Soft, squishy white bread, butter and pickle slices (again, must be the spears sliced thin). I'm sure I have MANY more. ETA: With this post, I'm a Chatterbox!!! Ham, cream cheese and a pickle rolled up. I love these too! Also great with green onion or black or green olives or different cheeses! (Don't know how to get my reply out of the quote box?)
