Why are you complaining that we're not as close as we used to be but yet you're the one who didn't call or text me for months? Where were you when my grandma passed away? You said it was last year that we last saw each other. Nope, the last time I saw you was BEFORE my grandma passed away. We didn't see each other at all during 2015. I figured I wasn't that important of a friend and let it go. And now you're sad I don't sound more excited about having lunch with you? Sorry. Maybe if you had contacted me or even came to the memorial service, I wouldn't feel so indifferent about seeing you. I said I wouldn't mind having lunch with you soon and.... *crickets* Yeah. You contacted me. If you wanted to do something, why didn't you respond with a date? Face it, the friendship is dead. We're simply two people who went to school together now. I have a friend like this. Our birthdays are a few days apart and it seems like this is the only reason why she calls me & asks me to have breakfast together. Notice that I said that she calls me, as I am not interested. Over the past two years I have come to realise that she is fishing for information about my life that gets fed back to my ex. Not happening this year.

Our application for a payment plan with the hospital has been sent back for the 8th time in six months! I can't tell if they are just incredibly picky (they wanted copies of all the blank pages of our bank statement), or are trying to wear us down so that we give up and they can send this bill to collections. I don't understand why we are having so much trouble getting a PAYMENT plan. We aren't asking them to dismiss the bill; we will pay it. We just can't pay it in one lump sum like they prefer. I've applied for much bigger things before and never had to jump through so many hoops! Even if you are on a payment plan, they CAN still report it on your credit history--it just has to be true. They can state that your bill is 6 months past due, and legally be within their rights even if you are in a payment plan I guess I don't understand what you're commenting on. I'm not concerned about my credit report at this time, nor did I mention it. I want to pay a bill that I owe. The hospital will only accept a full payment unless you are on a payment plan, which we are attempting to set up. But when we keep getting the application back for reasons like blank pages needing to be copied and needing copies of our mortgage papers and property tax forms (which we don't have because we rent, and stated that), I think frustration is warranted. Especially since I could have had it paid off by now. But, they will return any payment if it's less than the full amount unless you are on a payment plan. The problem I dealt with today is that the bank account numbers on our tax return don't match our bank statement. After hours of speaking to my bank and then tracking down my CPA who was on vacation, I found out that the numbers they are so concerned about are IRS routing numbers for direct deposit. They were thinking that we were hiding bank accounts, which is not the case.

I'm sorry if I was confusing or offended you!!

My vent for today is that fully 1/3 of the parents of the kids that were invited to DD's upcoming birthday party have not RSVPed, and tomorrow the bounce house place will be calling me for a head count. Really, how difficult is it to decide yes your kid is coming or no your kid is not, and then let me know in any one of the FOUR ways I have provided for you to do so (email, text, call, evite response) before the stated cut off date? I sent out evites with a link to the place so they could fill out the waiver in advance AND I mailed out snail mail invites as well so I know the invitations were received one way or another. If they knew they didn't want their kid to go, it would have been nice to know that last week so we could have invited someone else. It sucks for me to rent out a place and pay for 15 kids if only a few are going to show up, and it sucks even more if they don't RSVP and then I don't have goodie bags for their special little snowflakes if they DO end up coming. I hate that so few people use basic common courtesy anymore. Drives me nuts.
