For me it depends on what craft I'm doing. In our spare bedroom I have things set up for scrapping, stamping, and the Cricut. I do my painting at the kitchen table. I sew in the basement as I have a number of machines set up, and I can leave the mess out to finish. So, pretty much all over the house. LOL

What was formerly an in law suite...is now what my son in law calls the Scrapbook Emporium. linkhere is a blog post I did about it when it was first set up and still clean...a year later, more have been added and adjusted. LOVE my space.

I have a studio. Love it. I can leave out projects and work on them as I have time (even 15 minutes works). It's my favorite space. Here is my 10 minute quick video tour. m.youtube.com/watch?v=hC6ZTMobWI8Patter, that was so fun! I love your studio. It's set up so wonderfully and looks so inviting! And I love your voice. I felt like I just wanted to pull up a chair and watch you work on something!

They wanted to use my tape for their labor. LOL! I am not sure what people hear but you are too sweet! And I would love to have you come and craft with me. I have 3 tables so plenty of room.

I have one of my spare bedrooms turned into my crafting room. I am in the process of changing it all around right now. I am adding all the industrial storage pieces I have been collecting off Craigslist and yard sales. I cannot drive past a yard sale if I see something with cubbies or multiple little drawers. Although, I am finished with that part now, and just need to rearrange the furniture and get rid of pieces that are no longer as efficient as the new storage pieces. It will be strange looking to others, I'm sure. Especially since I found one of those huge rotating bins like they had at the hardware store when I was a little girl. It is going to be perfect for my punches and heavy items. georgiapea, I would LOVE to see any of the glass fused pieces you are making.

Hubby converted our attached single garage into my craft room - it also houses the spare fridge freezer - wine and chocolate at hand it currently also houses his two expensive pedal bicycles due to a spate of thefts from outside storage areas recently

You must promise to post pictures when you are done! I remember you posting about the parts bin and was quite envious. @mytnice - your room looks great! I love your innovate idea of using an upside down gift bag as a dust cover! Save

I own a drop-in crafting studio, so most of my crafting is making samples for the shop. It's a great place to craft, though! It doesn't make a mess in my house!

Thanks! I didn't like the bottom of the gift bag and I wanted it to look like a gift bag sitting there and not an overturned-look at the ugly bottom- gift bag, so I cut out the bottom, slid it over the machine and have the cardboard piece (that was inside) on top of the sewing machine, keeping the dust off.

I have a scrap room, but I never use it. I like to be w/my family. My kids use it more than I do for video games.

I'm lucky enough to have an office/scrapping space. This is my scrapping set up:

I have a 'craft room'--converted the smallest bedroom when kids moved out. My sister was remodelling her kitchen at the time and we were able to use some of her old cupboards. I love it, though I will admit that it's always a tad on the messy side.

In our family room DH ran a gorgeous granite counter down one wall. It has a cut out so iron, sewing machine and computer cords aren't hanging over the edges. Below there are storage drawers and cabinets.
The reality. I've never used it. Half the storage is games/toys - and DH always seems to have a project out to work on there.
I typically knit as hobby these days and keep it in a portable pouch that I drag along chasing a preschooler.

I love seeing where the other Peas create. I recently moved my work room to the smallest bedroom. This is what it looks like now. I have my jewelry/beading station, my paper station, my sewing station, (sewing machine is under the black gift bag under the window to keep it dust free) and all of my metalsmithing stuff is in the armoire. The room is not pretty, but it's functional and neat(ish) and makes me want to go in there and make stuff. I used what I had and didn't spend any money -except for the magnet sheets to put my wafer thin dies on the wall so I could see them instead of stacked in a drawer as they were before. But I offset that by selling the giant Martha Stewart craft table I had in the middle of the room in the other room. So I came out ahead. That's a beautiful space to create!

I have carved out a craft space in the basement. It's a U- shaped configuration but it keeps expanding.
I have two 6-ft long folding tables set up so the long ends are touching to make one large work space. I also have a drafting table which is great because I like to be able to stand while I craft. A large metal wire shelving unit from Target hold all my small bins and craft supplies. I have all my fabric sorted by type in large Rubbermaid totes.
I picked up some of those interlocking rubber flooring tile squares at Costco so I'm not standing on the cold, hard cement floor.
It's not a pretty space because it's in the basement but I really love it because it's set up for my use only. It's the only place in the house I don't have to share.

When DS bought a condo DD took over his room and I took over her old room. Before that it was the kitchen. I love having a "me" space even if I'm not crafting I like to just relax in my room.

I might be being a bit too critical and judging it like a regular room and not the workroom it is.
