Please don't throw anything at me, but I'm a child of the 80's that hasn't seen Princess Bride or The Goonies. I can see we are going to need to start a 12 step program here.

How can you not love Beetlejuice?!? What's wrong with these kids?!? They are finally making a sequel!!! Tim Burton said he would only do it if Michael Keaton and Winona came back. Well, to be fair, it is a tiny bit out there. Ha! He's a huge Sci Fi and superhero fan (shocker). The visual effects are really bad-in a good way. I was just glad he enjoyed Mel Brooks. Apparently he is a huge fan of politically incorrect and horse punching. Has he seen Spaceballs yet?

The majority of super hero movies, 2/3 of the Star Wars movies, all LOTR and what's that one with the tall blue creatures??? Haven't seen that one either. Oh, saw the first Pirates of the Caribbean, but none after that.
ETA Avatar is the one I couldn't remember.

Most Woody Allen movies. He gives me the creeps. ALL Woody Allen movies even before he started screwing his step-daughter. ABSOLUTELY! He has always given me the creeps. From the very first time I saw him. Everyone made such a fuss about his movies, so I tried to watch one. I did not finish. I may have tried a second one, thinking that it was a fluke. Nope. Cannot stand the man.

Most movies that have one Oscars for Best Picture as those are not typically the type of movie I like I've also never seen Ghostbusters, Harry Potters, Star Wars, Top Gun. List goes on and on.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the Harry Potter and LOTR movies from when they are on TV. And it seems like it's always the same bits and pieces every time I see them on TV. Neither are really my genre so I never stop to watch them all the way through.
I can't say I've seen all of the Princess of the Bride.
I probably have not seen a chick flick since the late 90's.
A good chunk of the nominees for Best Pictures are not even movies I want to see.

Princess bride. None of the star wars. So funny these are the two you picked. When I first met my husband, he was horrified I hadn't seen these. Especially Star Wars. He moaned, "It's an American classic. (Not in my house.) I've now seen both. It was part of our premarital agreement.

Cause these are mandatory movies for my husband and his daughter.

American Pie, Police Academy, Caddyshack, any Batman or Superman movie since the mid-90's... I *wish* I hadn't seen any of the Lord of the Rings movies. Oh! Haven't seen any of the Hobbit movies!

I don't understand the love for that one. DH wanted to see the last one in the theater. Problem was he hadn't' seen any of them. I had seen them all because I had watched them with our son. We watched #4. A week later we tried #5 and both fell asleep. I only saw Princess Bride due to my last English class. Subject was Sci-fi/fantasy. Last Christmas I watched A Christmas story for the first time. I had a friend that was horrified I hadn't ever seen it. I have never seen Sixteen Candles and the like. As close as I got to that genre was Better Off Dead. I loved that one. I only saw Dirty Dancing for the first time about 5 years ago. I was a teen in the 80s for pity's sake.

I LOVE Tolkein! LOTR is forever on in our house. The Hobbit movies were too long and had too much added. We didn't bother buying the Blu-rays, which is weird for us. Such a disappointment!

Actually, most Mel Brooks movies tickle my funny bone. Young Frankenstein is one of my top five movies of all time. My big one that always makes people raise their eyebrows in askance is Titanic. Never saw it, have zero desire to see it. Everything else listed I have seen, either at the movies or on tv later. Except Twilight. I saw the first one and that was plenty.

Blazing Saddles is my husband's favorite, but Young Frankenstein is mine. And I've never seen (or wanted to see) Titanic. And stopped at the first Twilight.

I didn't see Top Gun until several years later, but I had seen Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux so that killed the seriousness of the movie. Like when a certain person in Top Gun died I started laughing and said OMG it's Dead Meat Pete! I really think there are some movies that just don't hold their value many years later because the craze and the nostalgia isn't there. Like Dirty Dancing. I saw it in 1995 or 96 and I didn't get the hype. Enjoyable, but not amazing to me. And stopped at the first Twilight. Me too!

LOTR Trilogy. Well I saw about 45 minutes of the first one then fell asleep in the theater. My BF was a little annoyed, apparently I snored. Girl... We are spirit sisters. I fell asleep during one of the LOTR movies too. When I woke up, trees were talking. That's all I remember. My BF at the time LOVED those movies. I thought they were the most boring movies ever. i also have not watched (or read) any Harry Potter movies, twilight movies, or most of the Star Wars movies. I did see the one with the ewoks in it... And that's all I remember about that.

Never read the books either...just not my thing! Same here. Never read or watched the movies. I never thought I'd like the books either. My nephew was reading Philosopher's stone and told me to read it. (I read to him a lot when he was a baby/toddler) I was like NO WAY...not my thing, I'm not into wizards or witchcraft..gah. As you can see from my avatar, he convinced me (I really only did it to shut him up) and I was hooked from the first chapter. I totally recommend trying them even if you think you would hate them. I did and I am so glad. I am now hooked on fanfiction and it is the highlight of my night to venture into the wizarding world. I also can share the books and talk to my kids and their friends about them. It's "magical" Lol. To answer the OP: I've never seen any X men, Avengers, Star Trek or Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
