Fingers to be changed today to I like this colour a lot. Blue and mint green are my calming colours. Toes are Toes are very cute. They actually look very good. I messed up putting it on but the messy area quickly wore off after a shower and now they look nice. I also bought an Essie top and bottom coat with a strengthener in it, too.

I just finished putting a clear gel base on my tips and stripped my toes. I've decided on Morgan Taylor Man-go Round With Me (bright orange-based pink) on toes but I'm undecided on tips.
I'm absolutely loving having a gel base layer and just using my regular polish over the top. My nails are so much stronger and my polish lasts so long now! I don't like the gel removal, takes forever, but it's worth it.

Zee, Do you find the MT polishes thicken quickly? I've only started using this brand quite recently and used two recently and they're both thicker than they should be.

It doesn't happen like that with my Essies or OPIs

Or are you doing all the gel steps and just putting regular polish over the top? I've experimented with some of these techniques a bit and I'm curious about your experiences. Save

It doesn't happen like that with my Essies or OPIs I don't know...I don't have a ton of MT, but none of them have changed consistency. They're all really nice, I think I have maybe 8 of them?

SaveNot a sandwich, I want to be able to easily change my polish color. It's just the Foundation base with the clear topcoat over that. Then I polish and apply a quick dry tc as usual. My regular polish wears so much better over the gel base, and my nails are stronger and no longer stained yellow by polish. I'm really happy about it (other than I hate the removal!).

I"ve always wanted a french manicure- so I finally got one instead of a color. It's ok. It looks nice but feels boring. I can't wit to get back to a bold red or pink...but I've been considering navy too.
Z*G- that's pretty cool. I get no-chip manicures every 3 weeks and I've found Gelish is the only polish I'll bother with now. It's the only one that holds up for me.

I'm probably the only person who goes to edge salon to get - clear gel on my nails. While they are growing, I don't like too to draw attention to them but I need them to be stronger so clear it is. I have gel at home and the lights but whenever I do it, they peel.

Just got a pedicure today. I picked this because it seemed like a fun summer color. Sorry, not sure how to add a photo, but it's OPI My dogsled is a Hybrid. Kind of a minty green color.

Naked manicure from Zoya. I love the top coat. Reminds me of Seche Vite but not as thick.
OPI bubble bath on my toes.

I had my nails done on Friday...my friend (who is also my manicurist) and I are in mourning:
One coat of OPI Hawaiian Orchid. I start a new job tomorrow and my nails have sadly had to go The plan is to go in subtle, check out the lay of the land and gradually add colour back in over the next few months.

I just went had the SNS nails done. My nails are very thin and split and break very easily. I love Jamberry wraps versus polish because polish never seems to last more than a day on my nails. But no matter what method I use to remove the wraps the seem to take a thin layer off my nails every time I change them out. I added Jamberry Seascape wraps to them once I got home. link

SaveCorrect--I started out using non-acetone remover but it took so long, I went back to acetone-based remover (I use the pink one at Sally's) and haven't had any problems. You have to really soak that gel a long time so apparently a few swipes doesn't do any harm. If I want to wear glitter, though, I just plan to remove the whole thing because I remove glitter by wrapping my tips in acetone-soaked cotton and letting it sit about 10 min. That's too much for the gel underneath.

Finally settled on Fresh Paint Honeydew, it's a lot brighter in person and I love it so much this is the 4th time I've worn it. Which is saying a lot, because I have so many polishes!

Once it's cured you can put whatever you like over it.
