Well today my main irritation is the way grocery stores move stuff around. I'll ask "where have you moved the tuna? and why did you move it?" The answer to "why" is always "corporate tells us where to put things". But seriously, the managers have heard from shoppers how ANNOYING it is to search for things that are no longer where they've always been. Why doesn't "corporate" listen? growl... I know...the answer is probably that they hope we'll see more things to buy while we're busy searching for the thing on our list. But that won't work with me, just because I'm ornery like that. I always buy my favorite cereal at Target because it's about 50¢ cheaper per box there. It's always been on the top shelf, and I'm short so it's impossible to reach it if the front couple boxes are gone. A few months ago, there happened to be a guy working in that aisle and I said with a laugh, "You know, it would be *really* nice if you guys could move the high fiber cereal that little old ladies like me like to buy down to a shelf where we can actually reach it without killing ourselves!" Wouldn't you know it, the last few times I've been down that aisle to buy cereal, it has been located on a middle shelf, very easy to reach! Go Target!

People with no awareness of space/others. For instance, people that just stop right outside the doors after getting out of church to talk to someone and then everyone else in the sanctuary is held up while people have to snake around them. And people who park their carts in the middle of the aisle while they look at products- move to the side people! I guess this is an offshoot of consideration for others. It irritates the hell of me when people don't think of others and how their own actions affect others. This. A thousand million eleventy billion this. Almost everything thathat irritates me comes down to people who are either oblivious or don't give a crap about how their behaviors affect others. Self-awareness is a good thing.

Gosh, you all have listed some good ones so far! Lack of self-awareness, definitely. When people treat me like I'm stupid and / or oblivious. When people are gossiping "secretly" but totally within hearing range of other people. When I have to pay for parking. My entire experience with classpass. When in historical novels or TV shows, the characters use modern phrases or wear modern make-up (like that purple lipstick in Poldark - NOOOOO). People setting off fireworks in the neighborhood for no reason. I could keep going!

That Amazon Prime commercial with the Shetland pony and the song "Little man". It was ok the first 85,000 times....I am so sick of it...on the ID channel they show it on every single commercial break....it is so irratating!

My decision to shave my hoochie. I know a lot of people insist that women like the no hair look because of societal pressure, etc. I do it because I'm always hot, it's summer and extremely hot and humid where I live, and I don't like feeling like a sweaty swamp down there on top of being overheated all the time anyway. I've learned to clip my hair short with a pair of hair cutting scissors (use a comb and put it between your scissors and skin to keep from needing stitches or reconstruction surgery...) and when I want less hair, I use the MSP. It does smell horrible, but it works fast and doesn't irritate my skin like depilatory creams and shaving. (one weird side effect of being postmenopausal is less hair on my body... I think it all migrated to my face...) anxiousmom This drives me crazy, too! My male cat, Ziggy, will wait to groom himself until he's curled up next to me and then will lick, lick, lick so loudly. I shoo him off when he does this. He *can* groom quietly. My other cat doesn't groom loudly like that. Ziggy only does this when he thinks he's being ignored. (impossible to ignore that cat) I've been binge watching Rizzoli and Isles, and the product placement of the cars was extreme for a while--ooh, check out my new car with the Bing search and reading emails!!! (like you need to search the internet or go through your inbox while you drive) Finally, one of the detectives exclaimed that he was too busy to listen to all the features of the new car (after the person told him that she was charging his phone with her car). I don't mind passive product placement--I pay extra to not get commercials on Hulu, and the companies that are producing these shows have to make money somehow. I just don't want it to be so obvious I feel like I'm watching an infomercial. I also get the most annoyed by people who don't pay attention to others around them or just don't care/think their time is more valuable/are bullies and expect people to just get out of their way. The lack of common sense and critical thinking that so many people have these days. My dh has been getting these sales calls on his office phone for the past two weeks. Same local company that is selling residential security systems keeps calling dh even though he keeps telling them that they're calling his work phone. He's talked to several people, but nobody seems to understand that they're 1) calling one of the biggest corporations in the world 2) it's NOT a residence 3) dh is one of tens of thousands of employees and doesn't make decisions about their security systems 4) there's no way a small, residential security company could even provide security for a company that large 5) nobody has been able to take them off the call list 6) every time dh has told them to look up the company's website, and even after seeing who they're really calling, nobody has been able to figure out 1-5. My dh's answer to the thread question would be people who don't do their jobs. Dh spends much of his time everyday twiddling his thumbs on service calls waiting for his customers to do the troubleshooting tasks they should have done to fix their problems BEFORE escalating their product support to the highest severity level. Dh is unable to tell them any of this because the customers would complain and get his supervisors and him in trouble. He has to sit on the phone with them instead of working with other customers who actually did follow the correct procedures.

This is so minor, but I hate it when TV shows show little useless shots or scenes. Like on Flip or Flop, they may show surfers or a bee in a flower. Isn't that stupid that it was irritates me? here, I have a petty TV one too. I hate when an actor on a show is carrying around an empty cup, like a coffee cup, and pretending to drink out of it. No. At least put water in it. You carry an empty cup differently than a cup that has something in it. I can tell it's empty. So annoying. My husband thinks it's terrible that that annoys me so much.

People that don't return calls, specifically craftsmen.
The chipmunks and rabbits who ate every single flower I planted.
People who, in 2016, think it's perfectly fine to utter the most racist garbage in casual ways to what they think is another white person. Because, Hey, all us white folks must think thAt way and won't be offended.
People who, in 2016 in Orlando 2 days after the shooting, utter the most ignorant homophobic garbage to someone they assume is hetero. Especially when that person's job involves working with tons of LGBT people for the last 20 years, so their ignorance is wilful and doggedly determined. Not only a totally closed mind, but again assumes it's totally fine to say this crap. In Orlando 2 days after the shooting. I am so tired of wilful stupidity.

Love a thread like this because it let's me vent. I know I will sound like I have too many irritations to even live in society
I have misophonia so lots of repetitive sounds irritate me to distraction - like loud phone ringtones when a person gets lots of calls, other people's music, and the incessant wrrr of machinery, lawn movers, weed whackers, trucks beeping while backing up, die cut machines, sewing machines, etc. I hate when it is near me or around me.
People who do the wrong thing so it affects me - like I am walking 15 minutes to get to my building because I had to park so far away, and I see construction workers eating lunch near their cars parked next to the building. Construction workers are not permitted to use those spaces. I marched right up to the foreman's trailer and told him so. He said he didn't know they had parked there and he will tell them to move. Not that the space would be available for me, but the spaces are not for them. They have an area designated for them to park. Or near my office is a patients dining room and it has a piano with a sign that it is for use by our patients only. It is used for parties and such. So I'm sitting in my office and I hear the piano and I 'have to' go in there and see who is on it and throw them out. I can't understand how people even find it; they just pass 5 signs telling them they can't even be there in the first place and then start banging on the piano where there is a huge sign. And who wanders around in a hospital and comes across a piano and thinks, "Hmmm I can play this piano while I'm waiting."
I get irritated by my mother being irritated by other people so she feels like she has to say something. I am always on pins and needles with her when we go someplace, whether it be church or a restaurant, it doesn't matter. If someone is being noisy she is going to bitch about it, from babies crying in church to loud parties in restaurants. I think she has misophonia too. The whole time we are sitting there she is bitching about it getting herself worked up enough to go say something to them. I feel anxiety in my stomach when she does that.
My husband has this thing where he shakes his leg or his foot when he is sitting down. It cannot be in my line of sight or it will drive me crazy. He can't stop - it's some kind of nervous thing. I don't know how he can shake it continuously for the entire time we are watching a show or something.
People who let their kids stand on the seat of a restaurant booth so the kid is hanging over my head, or doing whatever the kid is doing. Tell your kid to sit down on the seat. The other day at Steak and Shake I told a little boy to sit down when he kept leaning over my head and when we left I saw him under the table picking up crumbs. Who let's their little kid do that?
Lastly if you are even still with me on this post, is the one where when I am walking, or sometimes driving, and a car or vehicle is coming up behind me. Not on the interstate but like on my short, culdesac street. No matter when I am out for a walk or just coming home driving down my street, someone is coming up behind me in their car. The street will be dead until I am walking or driving on it. At work people bringing supplies etc drive these little yellow golf cart type things and no matter where I am walking, one of these damn carts is coming up behind me and I have to make sure I am practically against the wall so they can get by. When I'm out on the grounds going to another building someone is driving across the patio area in one of these little carts. So I not only get to have the cart coming up behind me, but I get to listen to the beep beep beep as it tells me it's coming - get out of the way. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

when i try to reply on a thread here and it says you have to log in, so i click log in, but it doesn't let me me... i have to go to the top right to log in. but i always forget.
and i hate watching shows on TLC... every commercial break they show the commercials for their own upcoming show (sister wives or something about the dugger kids usually). each and every commercial break, the same stupid commercials.
AND i hate when you are driving in the city and there are two lanes. people zip into the outside/right lane because the inside/left lane is longer and take off like hell. then they realize there is a car parked ahead on the right side or someone is making a right turn and assume whoever is in the left lane should just stop their car and welcome them in. isn't that like cutting in line?? rude.
don't get me started on people who don't wave when you DO let them in ahead of you....
ok, i will stop now.

I lead a group of volunteers who work very hard to support other members in our organization. There's ONE person (a mom) on the committee that didn't come to orientation or respond to my emails to train her elsewhere. She hasn't done a d$*mn thing.
Last night she had the gall to write me saying she's frustrated, we're not doing enough, and members are complaining.
I've only heard compliments from others and our stats show we are comparable with previous years. I normally don't mind criticism but her hypocrisy made me want to scream.
She has four kids which makes her very busy. I get that, but others have commitments too, and she CHOSE this position.

Temper tantrums from people way behind the appropriate age for a temper tantrum.
People who don't do their jobs to their full ability.
Lack of effort.
Lack of appreciation.
Public bathrooms where I have to fight the paper towel machine to get a paper towel.

When you click on a link to see the "10 best places" (insert to live, to vacation, etc...) and it turns out to be a damn slide show and I can't find the button to advance it or I think I do and it turns out I've clicked on an advertisement. Gah! I'm a sucker for those articles and damn if doesn't make me irritated every time.

Oh, remembered another one. Bicyclist who ride outside the bike lane. Especially irritated when they ride in packs-3 or 4 across. Why should I have to cross into opposing traffic to get around them??? I guess the term "share the road" only applies to people in cars

People who stand up in the plane the second the pilot has turned off the seatbelt sign once we've landed. Why are you standing when it is going to be another 10 minutes until we can get off the plane? Get your butt out of my face.

6 people saying they were coming to our monthly crafting meeting at my house and 4 of those have just called today (our meet up time is 2:00) to tell me they have decided to do something else and won't be coming. That is so rude. When you make a commitment, do it!! Now I have all these snacks, plates, cups, etc.. here. I am about done with this group.
People who pull their cars just into a parking lot off a busy street and then stop and look for somewhere they want to park. Hello! There are several other people behind you and you are holding up traffic. Just drive until you see a spot!
I could go on and on because I am in a foul mood because of the cancellations so even someone breathing is irritating today!

When I am binge watching a show and they play the theme song each time a new episode starts. There should be an option to skip that for when you're watching more than one episode in a row.
When pedestrians/cyclists don't stop at stop signs and just keep cruising through expecting all traffic to immediately halt for them. Have some courtesy and at least stop at the curb and look to see what's going on around you.

I ain't got no time for naming all mine so I'll list just one. I work in a call center. When you call I can see exactly how long it has been since your call arrived in our phone system. If you have to leave for work in 5 minutes don't call customer service and expect your call to be answered immediately and the issue resolved in one minute. And by all means don't have the nerve to yell at me for having to wait 20 minutes to have your call answered when I can see that you've been waiting for 7 minutes. Thank your lucky stars that I'm not allowed to set you straight. Oh, and if you can't be bothered to save a receipt don't call and expect a refund. How the heck are we supposed to know how much you paid or that you even bought the product to begin with? And don't argue that you should get a refund or a replacement even though you bought the product 5 years ago and didn't take it out of the box until now to discover that it doesn't work. Or demand that I send you a product with a higher value to make you a happy customer. Guess I could have saved time by saying it irritates me to work in a call center. Actually, I found yours quite interesting. I learned some things about working at a call center.

Pedestrians that assume that just because they have the right of way they can walk through a parking lot without looking to see if cars are coming. Omg yes!!! This pisses me off more than anything. I keep thinking "if you're not going to get your face out of your phone or just in general pay attention then I won't feel bad for you getting hit"

And my driving irritations are many but the worst is people who pull out right in front of you, then go slower than you were going. Drives me nuts!
