Shit always gets real in the 2nd to last episode!
Also "Battle of the Bastards" on Father's Day? Savage, HBO. Savage.

I'm sorry for all the people having HBO issues, that's terrible on tonight of all nights!
I had so much anxiety watching tonight but it was so, SO good. I was very happy to see Sansa get her revenge at last and I'm glad Rickon's death was quick. It was unavoidable for him unfortunately. When Jon rushed out towards the Bolton army after Rickon died I thought he was surely dead. What happened to Ghost though? I really expected to see him in the battle. Maybe I missed it but I thought he left Castle Black with Jon.
I also loved Dany's scenes in this episode, even the little flirtation she had with Yara.
ETA: While I'm happy that the Starks finally won something I had a real aversion to seeing Sansa sitting and watching with Littlefinger. Hopefully they can get rid of him quickly.

I liked that Ramsay ended up puppy chow.

Well as usual, I have a lot of thoughts about the episode.
If Sansa had told Jon about the Knights of the Vale coming, I wonder how that would have affected his plans, and who would not have had to die.
Rickon, in these cases, you always run in a zig zag pattern. It isn't Jon Snow who knows nothing, it's Rickon. And maybe Jon Snow too, since you did exactly what Ramsay wanted and expected. Way. To. Go.
So sad to see Wun Wun die. DH's favorite moments in the show were when he picked up a guy like a dolly. And then ripped him in half.
I found the battle kind of confusing and hard to follow. Just like a real battle...
Sansa, standing there watching the dogs eat your husband kind of makes you as much of a little psychopath as your sister. Oh well, at least they will have something to talk about when they are reunited. And although I used to be a big fan of Ramsay, this season he just wasn't himself. All the joy in him was gone. He wasn't the jolly smiling fellow who carved bits off of Reek. I did enjoy his last stand in the courtyard of the castle though.
Amazed to see Yara and Theon arrive in Mereen so quickly. And Yara would totally not mind if marriage was part of the bargain...
Kind of tired of Dany's trump card always being "Well I've got dragons". I was happy Tyrion mentioned that burning everybody up is just like your crazy dad who got deposed. Maybe she will consider alternate plans in the future.

But if YOU had them, you gotta admit, you'd use 'em. I love when the dragon flew up to her and looked like he was looking for a snuggle.

Poor kid was dead the second they caught him. SaveSave

I'm never a fan of battle scenes, but this one had quite a few twists and turns. Is Jon Snow immune to death? It seemed as if the battle waged about him but not touching him. At least that creepy Littlefinger was good for something.
I hated Ramsay and couldn't wait for them to get rid of him.
I liked Dany's scenes. Wish they'd give her a little more opportunity to show a variety of expressions.

That was so incredibly satisfying. Now the red witch is in a heap o' trouble. Sur Davos is gonna kill her with Shireen's toy if he has his way.

So good! I hoped Ramsey's hounds would be his mode of death. So glad Jon saved Ramsey for his little sister. He would've happily beat him to death, but Ramsey was Sansa's to kill.
I did love to hate Ramsey, but I was ready for him to go. It was touching seeing the Stark banner at Winterfell again. And at least 2 of the Starks back home.
I was a little nervous for Jon during the battle, but I just think he has too much story left to die again. I was more anxious for Tormund. I was pretty sure the giant was going to die, but I was really afraid Tormund was going to be one of the big deaths tonight.
I also loved seeing Grey Worm take out the worst two of the Masters. That was satisfying.
Loved the flirting between Yara and Dany. I don't think the show has hinted at Dany's bisexuality before. It's been in the books for a while.

Girl power!
That was a roller coaster ride.
Jon Snow definitely has some super powers now that he is resurrected. I knew how Ramsey would die. It was the only way, but at least Jon got to beat the shit out of him first.
Damn, if I had dragons, I would brag about it and use them all the time.

That episode was pretty satisfying. I'm so glad that Tormund didn't die, I was totally expecting it when he went head to head with the Umber. Then he went and killed him a la Rick Grimes with the throat rip!!!
I figured Rickon was a goner the minute Ramsay got his hands on him. It was still sad to see Jon so helpless and then play right into Ramsay's hand.
Where was Ghost? I know it's expensive to CGI him in, but they could have shortened the battle of Mereen to let us see Ghost take care of Ramsay.
Did y'all see the article where they showed how Reddit users figured out who Sansa wrote at the end of last episode? Can't believe they got it right. Again, Littlefinger, with the warp speed travel through Westeros. Though I did stand up and shout when I saw the banners of the Vale!
I cannot begin to understand how next week is the finale already!!!!!!

I didn't see it, I'll have to look around and see if I can find it. I bet that'd be pretty interesting. I really wonder what Sansa will have to say for not telling Jon that she wrote to Littlefinger for help. It makes no sense that she wouldn't say anything, they could have delayed the battle waiting for knights of the Vale to show up and saved a lot of lives. Save

Totally that,
So happy to see Umber get his throat ripped out.
Nice move grey worm with two masters one shot.
Ghost where is ghost?
Davos has every right to be pissed at the red woman, I'm still not over shireens brutal death.
Now Arya has a home to return to.

That was one of the most satisfying tv episodes of all time. I was begging for Ramsey to die. I cheered when Little Fingers army showed up, I thought they were going to be screwed.
"My dogs are loyal"
"They were, but now they're just starving".
Hell yeah!!!

So intense. That battle scene, just wow! I also don't think Sansa knew if Baelish would come, or come in time, so she didn't tell Jon she wrote to him. Maybe they'll talk together about it more next episode.
Happy to see Dany using her dragons on the enemy ships, and make a pact with Yara and her group. I hope Theon gets a further redemption arc.
I can't believe this season is almost over.

I think the show is going to end up with three women on the throne. Sansa, Dany, and Arya.
Jon showed himself to be a terrible tactician, so maybe he is going to take a back seat to Sansa.
I have read that in the end it will be a battle of the living vs. the dead. I think it might be all about girl power.
Think about all the rapes in the first few seasons... and now the women are rising up and taking power.
I'm usually wrong about these things.. but it would be nice !

Last night's was the best GOT episode yet. I can't believe how much satisfaction there was in the sheer brutality of it.
And I'm already mourning that next week will be the last episode this year.
