For future reference...when you get stung, put Listerine on it right away and you shouldn't even know you've been stung. I found this quite by accident as I reached for the Vicks Vapor Rub that I had always done, but my DH had taken it for a horse. He suggested the Listerine. It worked! I poured some on and within a second it stopped hurting and it never swelled or anything. It doesn't make any difference what color it is as my daughter and grand kids have used different ones. I don't know if it will help you now, but it's worth a shot.

Well, none of the remedies helped or offered any relief. Jose offered the best relief. The swelling is worse this morning. The top of my foot is now swollen. I know it was a bee because I had to pull the bee out of my foot. I can't seem to find the point of the sting. There are two "knots" in the bottom of my foot. Maybe I was stung twice? Dd and I looked for a stinger, but did not see one. Oh dear. I am SO sorry. Maybe you should head to the doctor. Update when you can.

If it's even more swollen today in a completely different area than the sting I'd probably go to my doctor. I don't think spreading swelling is normal. :/

They can sting multiple times where a fuzzy bee only has one stinger. Mine was a yellow jacket and I think I was stung twice too. The top of my foot was so swollen the day after that I couldn't get a shoe on. I took pictures because I couldn't believe what was happening. I iced my foot just to numb the sting then the itching. It takes awhile before it gets better. I did not go to a doctor because mostly I am stubborn. Can I tease you and say the things you do to get out of running LOLOL. You know I am just kidding but I had to.....

Possibly a wasp? Those things do some damage...got stung on the side of my neck in the fall and it was swollen and red for close to a week.

Baking soda remedy works only if done right away. It stops the poison from spreading. You used the remedy the next day, so the damage was done.
Allergic reactions will affect your breathing, and that is when you should see a dr.
Soaking it, elevating it, cold compress and benedryl are your remedies at this stage. ...and of course old Jose.

Girl, put down the Cuervo. I'll bring you some Patron. You won't even be able to feel your foot, much less worry about it. I like your taste in beverages! Tank - hope your foot is better soon!!

Allergic reactions will affect your breathing, and that is when you should see a dr. A SYSTEMIC allergic reaction will affect your breathing. A LOCALIZED allergic reaction will not, unless you are stung in the face or neck. I know this because my DS has a localized allergic reaction to insect stings.
And TankTop it's time for the doctor is the swelling is spreading.
