Another one who likes things just the way they are. Thanks, Admin!

I like this board just the way it is. I guess I would like to see recipes brought back to NSBR. It seems to me that the recipe board is just dying a slow death.

Well I didn't even know there was a separate recipe forum. I dislike too many subdivisions so that's the only thing I would change.
Thanks for doing a great job, admin!

That's why I would like the ability to hide threads. Sometimes I participate in the ongoing threads like healthy peas, reading, what are you cooking... And sometimes I want to hide them.

I would like the threads started by people I've blocked to not show up at all in my list of thread titles. I don't know if that's possible but it would be so nice if they just didn't appear. You can if you are viewing on the computer. It's in the settings when you block them. Instead of the thread title you see a note that says the starter of this thread is on your blocked list. Or something like that. I haven't figured out how to do that on mobile yet.

I would love to have a button for 'active topics' that brings up all the posts on ALL the boards that have been posted to in the past day or week or (best of all) since my last visit to the board.

A lot of things that people are requesting can already be done. Want to just see the threads you've participated in? Hit the "participated" link. Want to see a list of threads you're highly interested in? Bookmark them. You can easily add and remove bookmarks whenever you want...

I'd love a separate forum (not sure if that is the right term) for the weekly/monthly posts. I know we have some weekly(ish) posts about the pressure cooker, yarnies post catchups I think once a month. Not sure if the bookclub exists still. Sometimes certain shows generate weekly talk. I'd love to see a forum to separate these so they are easier to find and participate in. That would be on my "please don't do that list" Take out all the regular topics and it will impact on the main board and probably make those threads less visible and less posted on. I've never read or posted on a pressure cooker thread, but I have no issue with one being on the front page. What I like is the variety all in one place so I can pick and choose what to look at on any given day...I don't want to look through several forums...I never look at any of the others besides this one already. Look at how low the participation is on the recipe board, some of those haven't been posted on in months and recipes get asked for in the main forum anyway. Ditto this, it was done on the scrappy board (i was in favor of this), it didnt work well (for reasons stated above) and was switched back. Instead can we label the threads with an icon? We have red push pins for some posts. How qbout a green symbol for monthlly/weekly ongoing (green for ongrowing) threads?

I would like to see the date of original post (in italics maybe) under the username in the Created By column. I get sucked into a post only to find that for whatever reason it's been resurrected from 2015. As for separate boards, I don't think we need separate boards for every topic - political, recipes. etc. I like the way the board moves. I can hover over and read the first few lines in a post and determine if I either want to read or pass over. We tried that on the SBR boards and it didn't work. But please do not combine the General Scrapping / Papercrafting board into NSBR. I would even go as far as combining the Photography board into the General Scrapping and call it a General Crafty or Hobby Board. Thanks admin for 1 setting up this board and 2 asking what we think about the board. ETA: With this post I got my 2 year badge. WooHoo!

I'm another that likes everything all in one forum. Other than that I don't really have anything to suggest-I think it's great as it is.

It would be great if when you have visited a post before and it shows up that there are new responses - that when you click on the link it would take you to the point where the new responses begin.
Right now you have to click and then click on the last page or find out where you left off.
Thanks for all the work that you all put in with the boards!

I think the boards are great and kudos to Admin pea for sticking with us these past two years!
I would love to be able to post pics from my phone. I don't use the app, just have the mobile site book marked (iPhone). The suggestion listed above for adding an attachment doesn't show up in my case.

I know there's an option to hide threads by specific members, but the ability to hide a thread we don't want to see or read. THIS!!! I know there have been some threads that are just ick, and I don't want to see them every time I come to 2Ps. I'm not talking political, I'm talking animal abuse, etc. Like on FB where you can click on hide this thread.

I wouldn't mind a "hot" designation for threads that are very active. We get threads here that have a ton of pages, but they may be zombie threads, or a thread war between two posters that is just going on forever. If I could see at a glance that a ten-pager was actually active with a bunch of posters, I'd be more likely to open it; maybe there is an algorithm that could be set up to designate a thread "hot" based on the number of recent replies by the number of posters. No big, but since you are asking ...

If you click on the NEW button you should be taken to the newest post since you last read the post. Granted. sometimes it doesn't work, but most of the time it does. Oops, I see this was already suggested.

I don't think the boards move fast enough to warrant separate forums (politics, weekly threads, etc.).
I'd love to see a "hugs" button to awknowledge a sad news post.

I could get behind a 'hug' or other acknowledgement type button, but not the 'hate' or 'dislike' button. That seems like a recipe for some serious ugly behavior. Other than that, I got nothing. I am pretty happy with the way things are around here.

I'm happy with how things are. Although, the idea of somehow being able to mark the start date on a thread from the main NSBR page sounds interesting. I definitely like the idea of bringing the recipes back to NSBR and I dislike the idea of taking any other topics out of it. It's supposed to cover anything and everything that isn't scrap related. That's the whole point. I don't love political talk, so I often skip those, but I don't need them to be missing entirely. I never see the recipes anymore because I only open the main NSBR page, and I miss those. And I dislike the idea of a "dislike" button, but we already went over that in a thread before, so I won't go on about it any more here. We do have a mess of smilies that show hugs, love, sadness, and yes, even eye-rolls and anger, so we do have ways to express those feelings without words if we wish to do so. Thanks for everything, Admin! Save

I would like to hide threads too. Even when it says Warning: (XYZ topic) you still see things in the title that are upsetting.

A filter to block swear words if you want. Particularly in titles

I don't use the app and there's no way to post pictures from my phone to threads. Yes blocked people's threads do show on my phone until I click on the thread then it tells me that person is blocked. I post pics from my phone all the time, and I don't use the app, either. You just have to use Reply (NOT quick reply) and click Add Attachments on the top, right side of the box. Thank you! I never post pic because I don't want to upload the to photobucket, etc. I didn't know we could post them directly from our phone/iPad!

I honestly can't think of a thing. I read all the replies, definitely don't want a dislike button. Too many hurt feeling could ensue.
The hot topic button might be cool. I am on another forum that has that and it does draw your attention to a ongoing 'hot topic'
All I can say is keep on keeping on!!!!!

Another one for keeping it the way it is. That's what makes it. You click what you like or don't. Although more smilies is always good

When I try to add photos it always says the attachment file is too big. If this happens, I email the photo to myself and it will ask me what size to send it (small, medium, large or actual) and I usually need to pick medium to get it under 1 MB. Then I attach the smaller version of the photo to the thread. SaveSave
