I'm old school and still have all my music on CD's. I have a huge collection that I keep in the house and then a smaller traveling case that I keep in the car that holds about 20 CD's that a change out every week or so.
For the last several months I've been listening to the Eagles almost non-stop but today I got a new to me CD in and I listened to the same song on repeat all the way to work tonight. Mieka Pauley's "The Devil's Got my Secret". She has such a lovely voice and the words really speak to me.

My dd just texted me earlier to ask about a couple "girl" songs we jam to. Freaky. Shania Twain's "I feel like a woman" and Martina Mcbride's "for the girls".
Also like ACDC's "thunderstruck" Metallica's "hero of the day" Sheppard's "Geronimo" Calvin Harris' "Let's go" Pitbull Meghan Trainor

'Say It' or 'Light it Up' both by Blue October. Really, tho, anything by Blue October. Justin Furstenfeld is incredible.

"Kick In The Teeth" - Papa Roach
"Second Chance" - Shinedown

"I Don't Care" Apocalyptica
Anything Shinedown
"What If We Could" Blue October
"Stronger" Kelly Clarkson
"Lose Yourself" Eminem
"My Kind of Love" Emeli Sande
Anything Florence and the Machine
It's incredibly rare that I'm in the care alone long enough to jam to anything. Sometimes it's difficult to decided what I'm in the mood for. These all seem kind of angsty! I don't think I have any "fun" songs that I blast in the car.

I am old... The entire tapestry album! I'm old too - I say the Monkeys. My sister and I recorded these tapes from playing the Monkeys singles and we'd drive around playing them. We were so uncool. SaveSaveLoved the Monkees!!!

Vivir Mi Vida by Marc Anthony I really don't want to like him, but I've gotta hand it to him - I'm just captivated by his songs... Essssssoooo!I have also been known to holler along to opera, especially Verdi and Puccini that I have no business singing.

I can't believe Journey hasn't been mention but once (unless I missed it)... love Journey!! Rick Springfield (obviously... hahahaha) Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. Bon Jovi - can't pick just one AC/DC - Back in Black pretty much any 80s hairband songs JT's new song.. gwad is it so good and my husband despises it... Maroon 5's Sugar (and I am obsessed with the video) 1,331,746,902 views - I think I am responsible for 100 of these.. Any rock summer song basically.. lol I agree Yvonne.. can't listen to American Girl anymore...

I'm a crank-the-tunes person in general. I love music, and when a good song comes on I always crank it, but some favorites are:
Anything by Pitbull
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Phantom of the Opera (movie soundtrack) - Think of Me, and Masquerade
Volbeat -- there are a couple of songs that I crank after I've been stuck in traffic and I finally hit the open road...vroooom!
Someone mentioned the song Magic from Xanadu, and it made me think that every once in a while I'll catch the song Xanadu on Sirius and I crank the radio as loud as it will go!!

Nine inch Nails- Closer. I also want this played at my funeral but everyone said no way lol I also love NIN...and Tool! In fact, I was listening to Lithium in the car on the way to church a couple of weeks ago and one of my fave Tool songs (46 and 2) came on, so I sent the kids in without me and rocked out until the end of the song!!

Too many. Probably the most cranked up one would be Gone Away by Offspring. To follow would be almost any song by Plumb, Collective Soul, Oasis or Tonic. Any of the 3 best songs by Pearl Jam. And many many more. Sometimes I forget to turn the volume down when I get out of the car after waiting until a great song is over. Then when I get back in the car and turn it on the blasting of the radio reminds me loud and very uncomfortably clear

"Sweet Child of Mine"- Guns n Roses. And as previously mentioned, "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Love Shack", bring me back to another lifetime.
These days, it's my 6 yr old DS who likes to sing his favorites while we're driving, so our loud songs are "God's Not Dead" and "We Believe" both by the Newsboys, and "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts.

We just returned a rental car last night that we put 7,154 miles on in the past 2.5 weeks.. Dh & I did a lot of road trip singing! "All Summer Long", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Highway to Hell", "Dirty Deeds", "Saturday Night Special", "Love Shack", "Life is a Highway" (route 66 trip), any Eagles song that came on after really standing on a corner in Winslow, AZ, and a whole lot of Elvis impersonations... "Love Me Tender", "Can't help Falling in Love with You", etc. after hitting Vegas and some Tina Turner "Proud Mary" when we crossed the Mississippi. In between we just sort of hummed and sung "Holiday Road" from the National Lampoon Family Vacation movie when needed. Our kids are still recovering from the embarrassment.

And "Uptown Funk," always.

My Girlfriend Lives in Canada. Actually most songs are belted out in my car, but anything from Avenue Q is wildly inappropriate and funny. Anything from the Musicals, Avenue Q, Rent, or If Then.... It makes my husband crazy! but I love them!
