I'm glad you hopefully found a solution. Housing was one area I did play the Mom card. DD and her roommate for grad school found a cheap appt. a few miles outside of town. I went with DD to sign the lease and it was horrid. Dingy, only one window and the manager looked like the pervert in a B rated horror movie. I refused to co-sign the lease and spent the rest of the day with her looking for a nicer place. Once we found a nice townhome she called her roommate and explained the situation. It was a bit pricier but I didn't have to spend the year having nightmares about where she was living. Good luck!

I hope it works out. It would be so disappointing to not be able to attend that college and play volleyball due to housing!
