woke up Sunday in pain, managed to get through church though and was really thinking it was an ovary as I have had issues with that before. After church though I had my 18yr old drive me to the ER and I'm so thankful I did, turns out I had appendicitis and needed surgery, they did a CTscan and saw stones in my gallbladder so I signed for them to remove that too while they were in there(I'm on a blood thinner so surgery is an issue, and the gallbladder would have caused future trouble).. Anyway. I came home yesterday and so far am doing good, moving around better and better, but yes sore. It was laproscopic,which is better than being cut open but still leaves you pretty sore..
sooo glad I had him take me, seriously I almost didn't.
Gonna be real fun dealing with paying for it as I am uninsured, sigh, I have papers for charitable assistance from the hospital and I will be filling them out-hopefully that'll come through good for me,but in the end they can only do so much and I can only give so much so ..It could've been worse.

OH wow! So glad you did get your son to take you in!
Don't focus on the money stuff right now - you need to focus on getting better and healing. The money will work itself out (totally easier said than done, but try not to worry!)
Glad you're ok!

Glad you went in and they discovered the problem, also that you are feeling better. Hopefully you will get some financial aid for the bills.

YIKES!!! So glad you went to the ED!!! I've seen grown men cry with appendicitis. Ok, I realize the humor in that but sounds like you were lucky to have your son with you.
Hope you recover quickly!!

A double whammy like that warrants a lot of taking it very easy right now. I'm sorry about the financial stress that it brought you. That's just cruel. Take care and I wish you comfortable healing.

You will feel better in no time now! Isn't it amazing that they can do both procedures laproscopic? As far as hospital bill, hope you get help but if not, send as much as you can monthly..at least it shows that you are trying.

Sorry you went through that! I am shocked that they kept you so long. DH had an open appendectomy at 1230pm on a Tuesday and was discharged at 630am the next day!

Oh wow, that could have been a tragic ending! I am so glad you got the care you needed and I hope your recovery is fast and uneventful. And I hope you can get the assistance you need...you shouldn't have to worry about paying for surgery that saved your life!

sooo glad I had him take me, seriously I almost didn't. Always listen to your gut. And boy, did that apply this time! Bonus, you didn't have to go through the process of "it may be your gallbladder, but we're not going to do anything about it yet," that a lot of people with bad gallbladders go through. I'm sorry about the bill that's coming.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hopefully the bill won't be more than you can manage. ISn't that why we have Obamacare. Never been 100% sure of how that works.

So glad you went. Hoping the hospital can help you with the bill. I had a friend go in for heart trouble, and they helped him out with the bill - he had been unemployed for months and was uninsured (pre-ACA days).

How scary! I hope you are feeling better soon. Focus on taking care of yourself, and not the hospital bill. The hospital will work with you, and set you up on a payment plan. {Hugs}
