Victor's
HOH Letter (w/ pics at link). This has been my favorite one so far.
---------------
BB18 has been a crazy ride, thus far. I went from being the third evicted Houseguest to HOH. I couldn't have planned that, even if I tried.
In all honesty, being evicted was probably the best thing that could've happened to me. Not only was I part of the Battle Back and won the title belt—thank you, very much—but I came back into a house that had turned on Frank and Da’Vonne, which worked perfectly for my game.
Having said that, being evicted [with nine votes] was pretty harsh. I did have some resentment toward some of the Houseguests I [thought] I trusted, but I cannot let my emotions get in the way of $500k.
I let some of my frustration out in my little nomination poem: "Nine to one. Do those numbers ring a bell? On my eviction night that’s how the votes fell."
I wanted everyone to remember that they voted me out and now I don't owe anyone any favors and nobody is safe.
Being in the Big Brother house is not what I had anticipated. We are always trying to find ways to keep ourselves occupied, which typically leads us to eating, which brings me to my next point—we cannot stop eating.
Even the Have-Nots are eating all day.
I feel like I’ve gotten out of shape since I’ve been here, but I have to stop complaining because I know there are a lot of you out there that wish you could be in my shoes in [the Big Brother] house.
Aside from the eating, constant paranoia is something I wasn't expecting.
[You're] always wondering what people are talking about, if they’re talking about you, why are they together, are they whispering, why did they get quiet when I walked in, etc.
I was not anticipating that much paranoia, but it’s part of the game, I suppose.
Another aspect that amazes me are the competitions and their set-up. The backyard has transformed so many times and, each time, it surprises me more. I wish I could see a time-lapse of the set-up.
And, yes, America. The competitions are just as fun as they look, except "Watch Your Dubstep" and "Harsh Hashtags." That last one left me with 15 blisters on my hands. No bueno.
As I’m typing now, my hands are still recovering from that HOH comp. It was all worth it, though. I was not going to fall to the sympathy cries to throw the comp to Natalie.
Sorry, not sorry. I don’t exactly feel 100-percent safe in this house, so I can’t afford to throw comps.
This brings me to my relationship with the Houseguests. Let’s break that down:
Paul has been my ride-or-die since Day 1. [I'm] super excited to meet his family.
Paulie has been my ride-or-die, as well. We got off to a rocky start, but now we're stronger than ever. Cannot wait to hang out after the show and meet his family.
Corey has been a close buddy in the house, [and I ] feel like we are pretty close, but will def be closer outside of the house [because he] spends most of his time with Nicole.
Nicole, I love her to death. She’s a lot of fun and I feel like we are close, but [there's] definitely more friendship to come after the show. She spends most of her time crushing on Corey.
Haha.
She’s going to hate me for that one!
James, I feel like him and I are acquaintances more than anything. He can get under my skin, but, as of late, we have been friendly.
Natalie, ever since her goodbye speech, I haven’t been able to get that out of my head.
I’ve just been friendly, but I know she doesn’t like me. It might just be the BB house. Maybe in the real world we can be good friends.
Z... Paulie.
Big Meech is one of the funniest people in the house. I really do think she’s an amazing person and a lot of fun to be around. [She's] a super-fan, for sure.
Bridgette and I have gotten closer these past couple weeks. She can cook anything, grow anything, and is a nurse. She’s weird in her own good way and I feel comfortable with her.
Now, this brings me to the things outside the Big Brother house.
The real world that I’m missing every day. It was so nice to finally get some pictures of my family, because I miss them so much.
Sometimes you can't help but feel a burning loneliness that only family can fix, but you have to suck it up and push those feelings right back down where they came from.
Also, as much as I take my buddies back home for granted, I miss you, guys.
New Orleans, I hope there’s a parade waiting for me back home. I’m ready to hit Bourbon St. for a long night of partying. I’ve forgotten what a hand grenade and hurricane taste like.
LSU, I’m ready for the tailgates and to watch schools become Tiger Bait!
All in all, thus far, it’s been a great experience, to say the least, but there’s more yet to come and hopefully $500k coming my way.
