My dd's favorite color is pink. some shade of pink is used on almost every one of her layouts.
I love a variety of colors though.

I like pink..but it is not a predominant color, I like it with browns, teals and navy.....I like the pop of color I get when I pair it with a deeper richer shade...

I like pink a lot in real life and in scrapbook pages but for me a little goes a long way. I tend to like blues and greens with accents of pink. Lately my favorite pinks are those that lean towards coral and raspberry.

I love any shade of pink, purple and turquoise and don't think there is enough out there!

Another pink lover here! I never get tired of it. My favorite shades have ranged over the years from mauve to my current favorite, blush pink. That being said, I do get tired of some of the paper design color combinations with the same shade of pink and aqua, line after line. I love the ones that use pink in a fresh new way, or a traditional classic way. Shimelle does this really well, as does Crate Paper. melissas posted a pink layout on Instagram today that made me swoon. (I hope it's OK to call you out here, Melissa!) Aww, thanks Oaksong! I appreciate that! I've been loving your tags you've been playing with on IG too! xoxox Melissa

I am not a fan of pink, never have been, never will be. I don't like that they use that color for marketing stuff to women with the assumption that we all like pink.

I love pink. I am even doing the outside of my home in pink. The classic Victorian pink homes. Even my DH loved the idea and thought it will make our home elegant. Definitely a pink girl except in crafting. When I scrapbook I hardly use pink. I use a lot of nature colors, blues and jewel tones. I don't think I have ever done a layout in pink.
The pink flower movement. I love flowers. My whole backyard is slowly turning into my own personal Secret Garden. I have very few pink flowers unless it is my roses. Crafting I have a lot of flowers. I make a lot of flowers. I rarely make them in pink.
I don't have an aversion to pink at all. I will use it in crafting but it's not my go to colors for crafting. Pink in small doses as accents make me happy.

I dislike pink. My girls dislike pink. I own very little pink and will avoid most lines that contain it. I find pink hard to use. I can't tell you how many times I look at a line and think "wow I really like the designs if only it were offered in a different color scheme".

My mothers fave colour was pink My childhood home had dusty pink walls and mushroom pink carpet I.HATE.PINK!!! But I am happy to share. It's ok for some lines to have pink ....but not all...or most... And while I'm ranting ,speaking as a southern hemisphere girl....why do Christmas lines all have snow/snowflakes/winter/cold themes....well maybe not all...but most. Let's have some beachy hot Christmas stuff

I've got a strong opinion, to me it's another way the industry hurt itself. I'm not anti any color, but have limited use for some, like pink.
The scrap industry has consistently focused on pink. even in years when it wasn't part of color trends in home decor or clothing.
I'm guessing there were more regular scrappers out there, than scrap trend followers. I think they would have been better served with fewer pink based designs. Better served means more purchases?
Designing what you like and use is a great idea. but if everyone is using the same inspiration you lose potential business. The scrap industry is always marketing to itself, not looking outward.
Oops guess that's more than strong opinion. I miss fun new products and excitement with releases. But so many look like ones in my stash, or the same color palette. It's no longer interesting to me to shop.

I like variety and choices, and I've been a little cranky because the majority of product the last few years seems to be unavoidably splashed with pink. (Since I take paper cues from the colors in my photos, I was pretty excited recently when I scrapped a photo of my dog with a pink doughnut box because I have so much unused paper with pink in it!) I've had a heck of a time finding a blue that isn't aqua or turquoise. I like those colors, but sometimes I want navy or royal or something else along the spectrum. I'll admit that I resent being told "what women want" and I'll never choose pink for a tool or an item if there is any other choice.
I was at a baby shower for an expected girl last weekend, and I noticed a trend towards navy and coral in the clothing that people purchased for gifts. I hoped scrapbook paper choices might soon follow suit. I haven't seen anything like that yet. Has anyone else? My only source is really this group, as I have one remaining LSS left in the area that tends toward pink/cute/theme stock and I don't know any other scrapbookers in person.
Also, at that same baby shower, there was a craft station to make baby headbands with all sorts of colored bands, flowers and accessories. Not one woman at that shower, from great-grandmother to youngest cousin used pink in her creation! I thought that was very interesting.

Pink is my favourite colour. But I agree we don't need it in every collection.

There was a split second when navy and coral (along with mint) were fairly popular, maybe 2-3 years ago. Fancy Pants Trendsetter is one of the collections I remember that came out with that color scheme. I hate pink and the fact that it has vomited on everything (not just scrappy) bugs the crap out of me. It took weeks and many hours to get my daughter clothes under 12mo (when I was pregnant) that didn't have pink on them. Some stores literally had no options without pink in the sizes I was shopping for. This year, of course, the colors I prefer were all the rage (purples and teals) in those sizes and I could have easily filled her closet from 2 stores. Just my luck, but at least the tides appear to have rippled a bit, even if they haven't completely changed.
I go through paper pads and remove the pink papers and work around pink embellishments. I gave it to my sons, but now they are starting to like pink...so that needs to stop, lol. I even have a baggy of ephemera and labels that I will probably rak to someone when it starts to burst at the seams...everything in it is pink all over or too much trouble to attempt to work around the pink in it.

I'm pretty tired of pink everywhere in scrap lines. Proponents of pink say to break gender barriers and use pink for boy pages. I say break gender barriers and NOT use pink for girls!

I'm not a fan of pink anything. I don't scrap with it much as neither of my dd's care for it and all but one of our dogs are males. Our female is a red and black German Shepherd Dog, so pink doesn't look very good on her.
I've also never been into pink tools, scrapbooking or any other that means for the ladies.

I use those for a different kind of beach layout

I like a little pink in my stash but I agree that it is in so many lines and has been for years. I do far more pages without pink as it is seldom in my photos.
While I love aqua that shows up almost as much as pink, it is not a color found that much in nature and I would prefer a true blue.

I am not a fan of pink. My childhood bedroom was painted pink, had pink and red shag carpet, had pink and white bedspread, canopy, curtains, and closet doors. It was my mother's dream come true. Ugh.
I do wear pink, but only because I know it looks good on me. Again, my mom is thrilled.
As for scrapbooking, pink works because I have all nieces. I do use a lot of pink and aqua. However, I would be thrilled with some other color palettes. I would like more navy, yellow, and green.

I seriously only ever use pink and shades of blue-green in my own projects... when you're on a budget, it makes sense to limit your colour palette like crazy - then everything matches! Everything also looks the same, but when they're your favourite colours, that's okay, right? I'm not sure what I'd have done if I'd had a boy - popped photos of him into black and white and surrounded him with pink probably - ha!
