Smile a little each time you see another familiar name or picture show up here? I certainly do!
And, many of you who say you are mostly lurkers (like me), I do recognize you. And it makes me feel good to see so many names I know.

I was thinking the same thing about the "lurkers" There are so many of them that I recognize. So so happy to see everyone!

I keep checking the roll call thread. It's nice to see names I recognize and it's also nice seeing lurkers come out to announce they are here too!

I do. I love that people brought over the avatars. I "know" who they are. I have friends IRL and I am often busy, but the pod was a relaxing way to interact with all kinds of people. I've never met a pea IRL and I'm not FB friends with anybody, but I still feel like I know the username persona.

Yes I do. And I can't believe I have posted so much. I truly am much quieter IRL.

I do! I like seeing my "neighbors" from the cyberhood, even if all I used to do was smile and wave when I drove by.

It feels quite strange to me that I am so pleased to see a bunch of strangers, whom I have never spoken to either IRL or on t'internets, yet I feel I know then so well. Strange in a good way though. I'm happy to be here and fianlly join in

I agree and I wasn't very active over there, but it makes me happy to recognize a name.
It also has made me smile seeing all the encouragement for lurkers to come out and post more.

Yes! I'm excited to see all of us, the number of peeps that joined and all the familiar faces. Two peas was a ritual stop for me and this feels great to see all of us here.

Even the peas that used to make me CRAZY!!! It just wouldn't be the same without them... Sometimes I think ESPECIALLY the Peas that made me crazy, just because they made for some of the most thought-provoking posts. That and they made me feel like my crazy might not be so bad in comparison to theirs.

Just so great to see so many "friends" who in other ways are "strangers". So glad I'd friended enough peas on FB to get to hear about our new home!

Yes, I'm excited with every family name and avatar.
I'm still feeling a little bit lost here. Hoping that comfortable feeling comes slowly.

I've been browsing the members list and smiling as I recognize certain names. I'm definitely one of the lurkers more than anything but I'm trying to come out of my shell more. It's comforting to see so many of us trying to make this place our new home and quickly, too.

Yes! The very first day when the unthinkable happened and I managed to land here I was so relieved and happy to see familiar avatars and names. The big fear I had was that everyone would just be kind of scattered to the four corners with a few people winding up here and a few there, and there, and there. Kind of amazing that even without the boards to communicate, so many managed to wind up in one place.
As crummy as it was to shut the boards down like they did, it is a small consolation that messaging was left functional so people could at least contact each other using that.

I was mostly a lurker, but I lurked a lot! I changed my name and avatar, hoping to become one of the familiar people here. I love that this community is so close-knit, even those who don't seem to be as well liked! I hope they all come over too because it takes a variety of people and personalities to make things interesting and fun.

I'm happy to be here and finally join in This sums up how I feel...I don't know why, but it makes me so happy to see a name, or picture, that I recognize from the old boards. First world problems, eh?

Yes, definitely!
I get a notification for every new member who signs up, and I've been genuinely astonished at how many names I recognise. Every time I think that surely everyone I 'know' must be here by now, another familiar name pops up.
We're getting very close to 2000 members now!

I am happy that we all landed in one place. I feel like we are hatching baby chicks. A new one hatches every time a new poster posts and we seem to have a healthy brood! Some were predicting this board would die out quickly so each day as we get bigger I feel relieved that we are going to survive.
