I loved Kitty's Warehouse Walks. I didn't like the videos that showed what was in someone's order but the WW were must-see.

The excitement, the friends at crops, the magazines and the LSSs. New fun must have stuff coming out all the time. It's sad to have it gone.

Yes, the Magazines. When we moved from PA to TX 4 years ago, I had to "lighten" my load (Scrap Magazines). I got rid of a LOT of Magazines. Had I known what was to come, I never would have done that. I still have quite a few and I still look through them.

This post inspired me to dig a little deeper in my older but much loved stash last night. I was lucky enough to attend three Archivers Scrapfest events in MN. Most of what I saved was from classes I took from the designers themselves: Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Teresa Collins, Elizabeth Kartchner, Amy Tangerine...and many of the fantastic venders. I don't know how I survived those events. I took back-to-back classes all three days. It was expensive, exhausting and amazing. Last night I found two (2012) unfinished class kits from Teresa Collins - and I still like them! I also found a few October Afternoon kits that I won at one of their vendor crops. Umm... WOW! Little Yellow Bicycle and Fancy Pants were always extremely generous with their product at these classes. I'm going to work with a few of those old kits this weekend. And I have the coolest (completed) pages from Graphic 45. They are so layer and embellishment heavy, I couldn't get them in a page protector if I wanted to. They are works of art without photos on them. I just realized that SCRAPFEST is where I was introduced to SC. Their booth was set up in the classroom at Archivers MOA. I bought my first kit, a pack of Mr Huey's mists and a mask. I wish I could bring back those Scrapbook Glory Days.

I miss Basic Grey too. The fun embellishments they had to go with their collections were some of my faves. Something different.

I miss variety......when every new paper line was NOT a variation of pink turquoise and gold......… I just went to my LSS and asked if they would be getting the Space Academy line in. I told her it was the first thing I had really liked in a long time that had no pink/flowers in the line for a long time. She loves pink and flowers (or at least orders it all of the time).

Not one but the 4 scrapbooking stores that were all close enough to get to on the weekend and carried stock I could see and touch and and not have to wait 3-4 weeks for stuff to arrive in the mail! Me too, Streetscrapper.

Before I even read anyone else's replies, it's Making Memories rub-on letters. Hands down.
Off to read everyone else's thoughts. Probably will add to my list . . .

Making Memories rub on letters. They were my favorite, I still have several packs from when a LSS closed near me. But I'm hoarding them! LOL! I reply w/out scrolling and sure enough, 3rd post down is this one. Great minds! I was hoarding mine too, but then I read somewhere that they dry out, so I've started using them again. The scripty font (Beach, I think?) is my all time favorite because all the letters connect so seamlessly. God, I love those things!

Local LSS here too. I miss a lot of the old paper lines but not the one sided flimsy patterned paper. Now see, I actually miss one sided paper, lol. The Libra in me can't decide between the two sides (unless one is really hideous), so I'm always feeling like I'm 'wasting'. Sad.

I can't believe no one said Paperkins! For me, it's the classes at my LSS. They had such a talented design team, and the owners were so creative and friendly. I learned a lot and always had tons of fun. Unfortunately, it was at the same time that my kids were young and very busy, so I wasn't able to participate much. I would live there if they were still open now. I have every one of them hoarded in their cute little binders, sitting on my shelf! And I bought all the punches to make the tiny ones too. I still have the stencil so I can draw facial expressions on them!

It's not a product but I would love to bring back the hey day of scrapbooking. When there were so many people scrapbooking, crops all the time, magazines and 2 CHAs per year. There was so much excitement and scrapbooking fever! I miss that. Now so many have dropped scrapbooking because they're "too busy" THIS for sure. I have 'lost' so many of my scrappy pals. It really makes me sad. OK, I swear, this is my last post, lol.

And I would bring back Runs with Scissors.... An eBay seller who would sell paper pieces pages that were amazing and often sold for over 100.00. I saved images from her postings, not to CASE, because I couldn't, but to admire

She was over the top talented best paper piecing artist I have ever seen. I saved her picture's too. She was a huge inspiration.

Anyone remember Lil Davis? I loved their stuff... They had a traveling RV that went to all the Archivers and passed out huge free goodie bags. (they may have gone to LSS stores too?) LSS
Chatterbox (I still have my pink leather suitcase!! Remember those!!) and a tee shirt that 2peas sold for them.
Remember the contests? Oh how I loved to see those projects and even saw one at a day scrapbooking thing.. she won something (I can't remember) but her project was to die for.
Oh not that I ordered much, but Club Scrap had the nicest paper ever... and different.
Retreats... we used to go 2 times a year...rented a mountain house...scrap all day, shopped in town....eat a nice lunch and stay up all night....

I loved L'il Davis and had lots of their stuff. I got rid of most of it, though as I didn't think I would use it. I really liked their stamps and I kept most of them.
I am getting rid of all my Club Scrap paper and "stuff" because I will never use it and I don't scrap that way. I am just not creative that way I guess. It's beautiful paper but I know what I like and will use.

I always wondered who was buying her work. The end of auction sales were mind boggling in price. I was always so happy for her when I would see the end sale. I was depressed too because I could never afford those pieces, lol. That is an amazing rumor that it was Oprah. I bet she would buy them. I heard she enjoyed scrapbooking.

Going through old December Daily classes and realized that I like the older Crate Paper Christmas lines (especially Sleigh Ride) better than the modern minimalist funky color green or black/chalkboard black lines currently in style. I'd LOVE to see reissues of some of the old lines. I'd buy 10 of those glossy red hardcover thicker alphas from Sleigh Ride.

I'm too busy now but I miss it so much. I took two days off next week just to reorganize my scrap room and basement. We'll see if I get to it!! I miss Daisy D's paper. I just loved their stuff. And I miss Simple Scrapbooking magazine.
