Prank is putting saran wrap on the toilet, not super glue!

I would not want to be friends with people like that and I would consider it grounds for divorce if my husband dared to disrespect me like that.

Not my cup of tea in any way, but if that works in their marriage, more power to them.

Definitely not funny. I'd call both 'pranks' cruel.

Well, my opinions on pranks in general aside, from a factual perspective, a prank can hardly be called "harmless" when it would in fact result in bodily harm, as both of those pranks would do.
Now, back to my opinion on pranks---I see no humor is purposely harming, scaring, embarrassing, disappointing, tricking, or hurting the feelings of someone else. (Also in creating extra work for someone or damaging their property.)

Pranks are not harmless when they result in physical pain to someone else.

They sound like they're made for each other. I hope their insurance premiums are paid up.

I'm opposed to 'pranks'. To me, it's a sign of immaturity in a big way. Even rubber banding the kitchen sprayer seems like a bad idea.

I think they have gone beyond pranking and turned the corner to cruelty. I would not be happy with that in my marriage.

Are they 12 year old boys? Do they laugh at each other's farts? I guess there really is a key for every lock, because these two have found their match. ICK See, DH and I laugh at each others farts. Because I've had bowel surgery, and the best way to get over the embarrassment is for us both to laugh. BUT we would never, ever do anything to purposely embarrass or humiliate the other. (And I said in a previous thread...I hate pranks.)

I always say they are a FREE gift, annnnnd, they are (SOMEtimes!) funny! (but not ALWAYS, like when my DH lets one rip and I can smell it in ANOTHER ROOM !!!!!!!!!!!!! ) P.S....there was a thread on the old board about Farting in Public that went on for pagesss annnnd pagesss.....it was HILARIOUS!!!

I personally am just not a huge fan of pranks in general - sometimes someone comes up with a funny one but most of the time I find pranks just don't speak my language - but this is beyond the beyond for me. It's a rare prank that I truly find funny and harmless. Far too many seem to ridicule or humiliate someone. I fail to find the humor in that. I also dislike pranks that result in destruction or damage of property.

I hope you know I was talking about Bevis and Butthead behavior and not a mature marriage. They don't seem like people who are doing things to relieve discomfort for their partner.

Wouldn't you constantly have your guard up? Never sure when or how the next thing would "get you"? Not a way I want to live. You'd definitely be afraid to go to sleep! I was reading about a guy who tried to sell his wife on ebay recently, they both excused it by saying he was a well known prankster. If my husband did that he'd be a well known single prankster!

I think it's funny when Ellen sends celebrities into situations with the earpiece - those are funny and the worst that happens is the employees are bewildered. I don't like anything that really messes with people's emotions beyond just being funny.

I don't find any of those pranks funny. We do play harmless pranks on each other in my house. DH once put his body wash in one of my empty containers. It took me a minute to realize I was smelling like his old spice. But that's about the extent of it at my house.
