Are they available at the grocery stores? I don't really want to drive halfway across town to B&N.

Wowsa, if anyone needs this book it's me! On Sept 26th I bought a house through an on line auction with only 1 photo of a screened porch to go by. I'll stop in at my B&N tomorrow!

I got it at my grocery store! Or rather I grabbed it off the shelf with my grubby laws so fast, the poor guy behind me looked a but frightened, but he's my husband so should've known what to expect.

Now THAT sounds interesting! Have you seen the house IRL? Did you get it for a good price? I have so many questions about this!

Got a copy at Barnes and Noble, got one of the only two copies they had. Another lady got the last one. Call me disappointed to get home and notice that the binding of my $7.99 magazine was broken and ther are food crumbs inside. This is the reason I don't like that they allow people to take magazines into the Starbucks, have a snack and then put the magazine back.

We only live about 40 minutes away so we go every few months. Friday was actually my birthday and my husband had the day off so it was the perfect excuse to go. We Had a great time. Joanna's mom was there greeting and talking to people and she heard it was my birthday. She ran to the back and came out with a cupcake and serenaded me with Happy Birthday! She was so sweet and tiny! I'm only 5'2" and I felt like a giant next to her! Lol.

Thanks for the offer, but I do have a copy, it's just annoying to pay full price for a magazine that has been "used".

Lemondrop and Redshoes - a big handful of both. Told our Realtor we wanted to see it on the weekend and discovered it was at auction that day, with 3 hours left. I registered with RealtyBid and got on the bidding page. It was an exciting half hour at the end. The jump was $250.00 per hit and I put in my last bid with seconds remaining and then hit it again. So I actually paid $250.00 more than needed, and yes I got it at a good price. It's a 70's era house, added on to in multiple directions and then covered with new vinyl siding. At one time it was appraised for $135,000.00 but that was maybe a hurricane or 2 ago. It cost less than the average unimproved Florida coastal lot in that area. Matthew destroyed our DD's home in Fayetteville, NC and another hurricane could wipe this one out as well.
Our Realtor, who could not find anyone who had seen it the day of the auction, went and took photos the next day and we were both surprised. Better photos would have had a different outcome during the auction. All our family is in, or planning to move to Wisconsin, so this will be a family retreat when they can't stand the cold anymore. It's a 3 hour drive from our home in AL. Tallahassee is only 40 minutes away and we are happy as clams.

When I'd won the auction I told the Realtor "If this turns out to be a turkey, you gotta help me unload it". Glad to say that won't be happening. Hope I can get Chip and Joanna's book tomorrow.

I just bought the magazine at Costco, it was discounted to $5.59. I'm saving it for our road trip to the cabin tomorrow.

I bought my copy at the grocery store this morning....it's published by Meredith Corporation that are headquartered where I live in Iowa so there were tons of copies, but at $7.99 it better be worth it or it will be my first and last copy. I only have one magazine subscription and that's to HGTV's magazine and I adore it, so this one has some stiff competition to live up to for me.

That $2.50 savings probably would have cost me a $100!!😂 Found a copy at Kroger this morning. I stopped at Walmart but they didn't have any. However they DID have the new fall stuff from Pioneer Woman so I didn't leave empty handed!
