I met one a long long time ago from the old board. I don't think she even posts anymore. I'm hoping to get some to join me at the Michigan fiber fest next summer as a few said they wanted to go. I would love to go! I have never met a pea but I would love to meet up with some Michigan peas. The fiber fest is always in early-mid August so some time in July, I'll try to remember to make a post about it.

I've only met one, Joe. He's a great guy and we've actually vacationed together. There are some that I would really really love to meet though!

When I used to live in Atlanta, we had a pea reunion, and we got together to scrap at Archiver's once a month. I met a number of peas back then.

I have met three. One is BFF, another is an LSS owner in Lincoln, OR and the other was on the old board in GS. I met her in the LSS as she had just been named a Memory Maker's Master!

I've met two peas from The Pub over at the old board - we still exchange Christmas cards, but they don't post here. I was at CHA once and I'm sure I met several peas there too, but I don't remember who they were now. It threw me for a loop though, because it was so difficult to reconcile faces with avatars!

One from the old board, can't remember her name. I met her at a LSS. She knew I lived near her in FL and I mentioned I was taking a class. She walked up to me while I was shopping in the store and just started talking to me. Never did figure out how she knew it was me since I never posted a pic.

None. I don't think there are that many peas that live in my area. I can think of two.

Let me think...
1. I met TerriG (she is on here but not often).. a couple of times when she was visiting my home state where her husband's family lives. We met for dinner and a scrapbooking shopping night. Funny thing about her is that my kid's went to a school here that her sister-in-law worked at... and it's a small small town.
2. I met Ferblover (is that spelled right Ferbie)... she actually signed up to go on a retreat with my friends and I. We had some extra space and I put it out here on the board and she joined us. Good thing she wasn't a serial killer.. lol
3. Seems like I might have met one or two gals at a LSS crop day... it was in Aurora, CO at a pretty big store.. there was a day crop that one gal had a book she made for a contest.. Chatterbox contest.. But I don't remember who.. she did win a prize though. The book in person was pretty amazing! Even by today's standard, over 10 years later.

Still fun bantering with him and his new wife... My sister almost met him a couple of weeks ago, he was down in Florida and at a bar that is literally less than a mile from her. She didn't see his post until the next day and missed him. Kinda funny how I met Joe on old 2peas page, then friends on My Space (HAHA) then he started being friends with my sister (she has a sense of humor very similar to Joe), then of course we all go over to FB, which in turn added another guy, Vinney who is friends with the three of us and I don't think any of us know who knew Vinney first. BUT none of us know each other in real life yet. Then add Joe's sweet Russian wife....

So fun to see how many of us have met peas in person! I remember a bunch of UK peas that were planning an event----did that happen, and I missed their posts? maurchclt...hmm....that's very interesting! Like you said, how did she know who you were if you didn't have an avatar with your photo? Was it maybe back when some peas were putting green ribbons on their purses? Or maybe she overheard you mentioning "2 peas?" That's how I met some fellow peas at an lss one time----none of us had the green ribbon, but at some point during scrapbooking, someone said "2 peas" and a couple of us started talking about it the board....wow, that seems like another lifetime ago! Someone mentioned 'Archivers'......ohhh, I always HOPED to visit one someday, but never did. It looked like the COOLEST store! I think they were the first (only?) scrapbook store with the mini-photo printers---that was a big deal back then!

I've met several at crops and LSS in and around the Houston area, mostly back when scrapbooking was peaking. Never went to any official pea meetups though. I used to be real good friends IRL with Edgy Coolness for years. But she moved away several years ago, then we had a falling out, and I've only talked to her a few times since. I'm going to the Kaitlyn's Crop this summer, so maybe I'll meet some more peas then?

Well if I remember this correctly... she walked up to me while I was shopping, introduced herself and when I asked her HOW she knew who I was she said because I wrote I was going to be at the store. But there were over 30 women there, then she told me she was psychic.... hmm. Now I wonder if she didn't approach a few other women first with this story, lol

dozens. I'm very fortunate to have a handful that have become very close friends, and some I feel like are substitute moms for me. I've vacationed with peas, meet them for dinner when i'm out and about or vacationing, i've run into them randomly at disney, on the beach, at the mall in NC, at a festival in ohio, on a tour bus in boston, and a bar in nashville. My husband is always like 'umm, what the actual eff. Between the peas , my hair, and my job he doesn't stand a chance of blending in. ha I'm one of them, lol. Met ya last summer at my friend's party in Westerville

I've met most, if not all, of the Houston area Peas (and I'm calling y'all out NOW - we need another Pea Meet). I've met some of the other Peas when they came into town for CKU or Kaitlyn's Crop. I think I've met just about all the Houston area Peas and they are a great group of women. I've also met a lot of Peas who have come to Kaitlyn's crop over the years. Now that I'm living in Oklahoma, I'm still planning on going to Kaitlyn's crop every year, and I hope to also meet some of the Oklahoma Peas. I have to admit I was a little nervous the first couple of times I attended a Pea meet up. I was always afraid someone would turn out to be an axe murderer.😄 Happily, I now realize that most of the Peas are nice, interesting women who just happen to enjoy belonging to an online community.

More than I can count. One is now one of my best friends and many more I count among my closest friends. My husband has become friends with a couple pea husbands and my kids have become friends with even more pea kids.
Losing Julie (Regina Phalange) still brings me to tears almost every day but without Two Peas, we never would have met and become friends in real life even though we lived so close to each other. There are many things in the history of peadom that are troubling but on the whole, I am thankful for this crazy place.

craftykitten and gar ---aww, that's a bummer! I was so looking forward to hearing about it from a bunch of UK peas.....and of course....seeing PIKS of all the fun! Those of you who mentioned "Kaitlyn's Crop"---it sounds like a regular, yearly (?) event that many of you have gone to several times. Does she usually post about it here? I remember on the old board, there was a separate board for crops---remember how BUSY that board was, back in the day? WOW! StephDRebel ----I can understand meeting lots of Peas when one travels around a lot, as you do---BUT---you've even met them RANDOMLY at places like a tour bus, Disney, etc.---what are the ODDS? I assume when you run into them, y'all know eachother from avatar piks? I guess that's a dumb question---LOL---how ELSE would you recognize one another unless it was PLANNED, huh?

Completely randomly, more often when I had a blog that I kept up with and posted tons of pics on... On the tour bus the girl was like "wait, you're from Ohio...this might sound crazy but.." The mall she didn't say hi then, but messaged me and was like "So, were you in Crabtree & Evelyn today?" The festival she saw us walking to get food and recognized my son from pics I had posted, he was on someones shoulders and I was walking next to him- she saw him first and thought she recognized the cute kid. At disney I was grabbing lunch with Krissy (AngelKriC) and a gal came up and asked if I was a member here. I used to post a lot more pictures and I kind of grew up on these boards...and, I've always kind of stuck out like a sore thumb! ha
