There is a secret group on Facebook called pantsuit nation. I am so moved by the stories and love that I see on that page. I wish that everyone could see it, but understand why it isn't public. Is anyone else a part of this group? What are your thoughts?

I wonder if they made it closed rather than secret, if people would be able to see the stories but not comment?

I love it. I'' so glad someone added me to that group. So many inspiring stories. I was crying reading them last night. My husband doesn't talk politics but leans more conservative. The other night I asked why he was voting for trump (which I had gathered based on recent comments he had made). He didn't answer but asked why I was voting for Hillary. I gave him my reasons but I wish I had been a part of this group at the time. My reasons coincide with the stories but they are so much more personal and human as told by those in the group.

I'm part of it and so are several other peas. Wearing my pantsuit to work today, came in and our registrar also had a pantsuit (we are a very casual workplace so a pantsuit really stands out). We gave each other a little wink. My school is also a polling place, and the line is very, very, long. All the schools I've worked in have been polling places and I don't recall ever seeing a line this long. Lots of women in pantsuits, but they may be professionals who just wear those to work on a regular basis.

I love Pantsuit Nation. Wish it had been created sooner because it is keeping me calm, lol. I am glad that it is secret because you can only be added by somebody. Helps keep down the chance of trolls. I can't believe with a group that size how positive and uplifting it is. Loving it!

that group has been my salvation over the last week and a half-it's literally kept me sane during this very stressful election.
I LOVE the people, I LOVE the stories, and I LOVE the positivity. It's rare I am not in tears reading about them. My cousin posted one of them-she's an active duty soldier/single mom and she had a picture of her in uniform, hugging her son, explaining that he is the reason she is with her.

I wonder if they made it closed rather than secret, if people would be able to see the stories but not comment? I have seen some posts where they have said that they feel comfortable posting on there because it is secret and they are not comfortable saying those things on their page. So it is probably best for the group to stay secret. I do find the stories to be very uplifting. Many bring a smile, some tears. It is so good to have a place to go to with no negativity, just positive, real life posts. I can't believe how fast it has grown in less than two weeks. Over 2 million members. The state chapters are growing fast too.

I hadn't heard of the group until I just read a piece about it online. Very cool. I'm not a member, but it sounds like the perfect place in which to ease this Election Day anxiety.

It has been balm for my soul. Really. What I love most is how positive it is. It isn't tearing down the other side, it's inspirational and uplifting.

...within the past 2 weeks the Dallas Morning News published a letter in which a woman ranted that HC did not look presidential because she wore pantsuits. Her letter had a sentence that said "Who has ever seen a female leader of any country wearing a pantsuit?" .........apparently the woman writing the letter never has seen Merkel!

Ok so, I was inspired. I don't have a pants suit, but I dug out and wore a sweater jacket with lapels.
I think it was appropriate to my level of Hillary support all along and my symbolic gesture of support.
So now I cross my fingers, and hope we as a nation can move on however this goes.

Well, now I feel left out. I'm part of the group and feel left out. Where were these stories? My feed showed two roll call posts yesterday - where are you from and what is your occupation? Today was a group of ladies in pantsuits holding a nasty sign. I guess I'll have to dig thru the actual page as the FB algorithm for my feed wasn't anything like people are describing.

Well, now I feel left out. If you are on Facebook and are a Hillary supporter, ask some of your friends on FB if they are members. If so, they can add you. If you don't want to ask on your wall, you can send them a private message and ask.

It could be that you are in one of the state chapters instead. My state chapter already has over 8000 members.

[ I'll check when I get back home - I don't think it's a state issue though, the one pic was ladies in Texas which I'm not from and the friend who added me has no connection to. I post nothing political on fb - so maybe that changes my feed algorithm -

I would love to see/hear the inspirational stories. Most of what I see from supporters on both sides are the negative I understand the group not wanting trolls, but it would be great to see more inspirational and positive posts for everyone.

The only Pantsuit Nation posts that show up on my feed is when FB friends of mine comment on that post. Given that it is a secret group, I doubt that they draw posts to put on your newsfeed unless a friend of yours commented on or liked it. All of the posts I've read are so positive and uplifting. Some of the men who post there bring tears to my eyes. I am so happy that my cousin added me.

This makes sense - Several friends posted on the roll call and occupation posts, so that's probably why they showed up on my feed. I generally steer clear of politics on facebook and even more so this year. I saw the notification that I'd been added, but didn't go to the page. I'll have to check it out when I go home, I need some positive and uplifting!

There is also a public page. If you were not added to the group by someone else, you are not seeing all the posts by any stretch of the imagination. She's got moderators from all over the world actually deleting posts with a negative spirit so that helps a lot I think. I'm not sure if the posts are all approved before they show up too. Haven't made a post.
I especially loved watching the group grow. I felt a little left out when I was added and there were already something like 250,000 members. There are over 2.5 million now!!
