So I was just starting to consider dinner and being all pissy about being old and not understanding young people who talk at me rather than explain things and then...the realtor called. Some dude have me a crazy low offer on my house the first day it showed. I countered back at full price and a pretty low offer on helping with closing costs. He came back with another offer, I essentially said a similar offer and tonight? He came back agreeing to my terms. OMG. I think I just sold my house. Assuming that all goes well of course. It's been like 5 days. So dinner? Pfft. I want to dance and shout and throw up all at the same time. Woo hoo!!! Congratulations

Yes!! Although, it was my oldest that requested it. He is a great eater. Little brother not so much lol. He did gag down one tiny bite though. Tonight's dinner will be an all cheese taco aka uncooked quesadilla for him 😉 I got into the habit of serving plain mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta and rolls at every meal because that's all one of mine would ever eat, so I totally get it. I try to do that too. From your list everything is a go except for mashed potatoes. Silly kid. He also isn't too thrilled with the regular kid fav foods. No hot dog, corn dog, chicken nuggets (he eats sometimes).. oh well, it's just a phase right?!! He loves mac and cheese! I do a lot of hidden food cooking so he still is eating the good stuff, just not in the regular food form. Ugh

I still do it most nights but some nights I just cook a dinner with flavour! Dh and I enjoy it and the dd's fend for themselves When they are small you can't do that though ...

I sure do hope he out grows it. I don't cater to him much, but I do make sure there is one healthy option available for him to eat that he likes. He has never been a huge dinner eater so he rarely eats more than a handful of bites usually. The other day at lunch he asked for 2 baby carrots. I gladly gave them to him... He ate them both!! I never know what he wants to eat really. One day he will eat something, but not the next time it's served.

Well, last night's plans were scuttled. By the time I got home, BF had a pot of marinara going. So we had that instead.
Tonight, I'll cook the chicken and broccoli cheese rice.

Sorry to be so late to the thread! We had teriyaki chicken over rice and spinach salad.

Congratulations anxiousmom. What type of dwelling will house your dinner table when you move?
